We had such a terrible experience on an Azamara excursion that I wrote to guest relations email and asked to hear from someone when I did the post cruise survey.  I’ve had no response to either.  The excursion was post cruise and we weren’t back on board to have a chance to speak with anyone who works for Azamara.  Does anyone have another suggestion how to hear from someone? 

Here's the response I received. It's hard to understand why this is so difficult.

In regards to your concern with the Onboard Credit Usage work around; so far this work around is available for Voyages in the month of August and September.

Unfortunately we have not received any update if this will be extended. We kindly request you to contact us in the middle of August, we might have an update by then.

I calked Azamara today and was told this would not be solved before late September or early October. The agent suggested emailing azamaracustomerservice@azamaraclubcruises.com and requesting that the work around solution be extended to October cruises. I did that, and will let you know what I hear.

I've been following the Sept thread hoping to hear when the permanent process is in place. Since it doesn't appear to be yet, would you please look into whether the work around will be offered for October sailings?

We got that message on Tuesday. I think you're right about traveling to Vienna on the 26th. I thought the concert was 1st night, but I could have that wrong and it's the 26th.

Here's the information we received. I'm wondering what happens to the concert excursion we've booked in Vienna, but will wait and see. See you onboard!

We want to inform you that our Avalon Operations just advised us that due to river bridge construction on Oct25, the ship cannot embark in Vienna but instead in Bratislava.

We will transfer you from Vienna to Bratislava. You will need to call the Cruise Director at least 24 hours prior to OCt25 in order to get exact meeting point in Vienna.

We're looking for advice about whether to book a last minute cruise. We're considering Avalon Illumination Oct 25, Vienna to Amsterdam. Our worry is the water level and how much we can expect to be on the river, and how much on a bus. We could book bus tour much cheaper if that's what it would turn out to be - not really what we want. Our second chioce is Vantage Paris and Normandy, but that itinerary is slightly less appealing as our first river cruise.

How do I find a travel agent who provides perks? We're from Canada and I prefer to use CDN agent. We're booking our third cruise with same agent but haven't been offered any perks. Any suggestions?
