Okay, this has probably been done by many, but it's my most embarassing story:

 

On our first cruise in 2008, I left DH in the room and went to Lido for a snack. I wondered about the ship for a bit and then headed back to the room. I found our door and slid the S&S card into the slot, but it wouldn't open. I slid it again and again, but nothing. Suddenly, the door slams open and a very sleepy, exasperated man stands there blinking at me, obviously frustrated by my constant attempts to open THE WRONG DOOR!!! :eek:

 

Yeah, I couldn't apologize enough. Then I had to go down to guest services and ask what my cabin # was. I still get red thinking about it! :o

that is why some people decorate their doors.

I've been on 3 cruises and am planning my fourth I wear my sail and sign card on a lanyard around my neck so i don't lose it,

yes the doors on the Liberty are metal. We sailed on the Liberty in May for my 50th birthday. My kids put a happy 50th decoration on our door with a note and a pen asking people to sign. I know have a woderful keepsake with signatures from all over. One is from New Zealand. I plan on doing the same for my daughter's graduation cruise next year.

I like to get dressed up for the elegant nights. I wear a uniform to work every day and I work 2 weekends a month. So i don't get much chance to dress up. We also use these nights to get family photos done. $22.00 may seem expensive to some but we budget into our vacation money. Trying booking a sitting with a proffesional photographer they are really expensive.

I collect the brass christmas ornament from the ships and mugs and I do the same for the ports. My daughter collects shot glasses.
