  1. Hi. We are booked on the QM2 transatlantic- 15-22 Dec. When we arrive in New York, our flight that evening is at 6.20pm from JFK (booked with Cunard). Can anyone tell me what they ‘do’ with you that day as I assume they want you off the ship early. Any info/advice would be great. Thank you

  2. We've booked last minute for Encore sailing next week, and we've ended up with a Deck 5 Veranda Cabin. I notice from the information that it's part metal / part glass the balcony and the veranda is slightly larger. Does anyone have experience of these cabins, or any pictures to share? Last time on Encore we were Deck 8 Veranda.

Looking forward to sailing on this ship again. We had a great time last trip, and didn't experience anywhere near the myriad of problems being reported on here.

  3. We too were at Seabourn's annual corporate conference last night, that's what it felt like! So firstly this was about creating a 'show', an event. Nope. This was purely a corporate information event. And they didn't even get Sarah to 'sing'. As lovely as I am sure she is, she is known purely for her voice, and thus a contract should have been developed to allow this. Also no fireworks for our departure?! Very strange, and very underwhelming to be honest. Thank goodness the ship is beautiful, but a big fat zero for the Christening event.

  4. We love both lines for different reasons. Celebrity is the best (IMO) of the large scale cruise lines. HOWEVER, on the last cruise I found the up-selling of everything tedious and annoying. I wanted to wear a sign saying 'NOT INTERESTED'. They are two different products. I'd say there is more 'going on' on Celebrity, but service, cuisine, elegance are more in abundance on Seabourn. Neither are bad, just different

  5. We are travelling on EPIC as a group and we'd like one of the party 18 year old to have their own cabin (Studio). This would be OPPOSITE their parents, but not adjacent or connecting (as the only connecting Studio cabins are other studios which aren't really suitable for 2 people. Can you advise if this would be permitted?
