Verifly worked for us boarding Mardi Gras on Jan 29.  I had both our vax cards and negative test results in my bag ready to pull out and the check-in guy said he didn't need to see them since he could see them on the app.

Do they have Uber/Lyft available in Juneau?  We have booked a helicopter tour to Mendenhall Glacier that ends at 11:00.  We would then like to go to Mendenhall to hike Nugget Falls and other trails.  

If Uber is not available, are there taxis readily available near the port, or would we have to schedule one ahead of time?

Any ballpark idea how much either Uber or a taxi would cost to Mendenhall?  I know we could use the shuttle, but it seems pretty pricey for four of us.   Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Do not use Karib.  I booked two golf carts last May for our Horizon cruise in Dec.  I had to put $45 deposit via paypal.  In July my sister also reserved a cart for the same cruise.  When we all arrived in Dec, they said they did not have any carts.  Said they only have one cart and are basically out of business and thought they had returned our deposit back (yeah, right.)  Once back, I contacted Karib a couple times but got no response, so I did a chargeback through paypal, but they would not return the $45 deposit since it been more than 6 months.  

Just a heads up for any of you with upcoming reservations for golf carts.  On May 14, 2018, I reserved two four-seat golf carts for our day in Grand Turk on Dec 3, 2018.  I paid the deposit of $45 via paypal and received email confirmation that same day.  My sister also reserved one golf cart a few weeks later and paid deposit.  When we arrived Grand Turk on Dec 3 and found the representative, she asked "didn't you get money back?"  When we replied "no" she said "I only have one golf cart and am pretty much out of business."   

Since one cart for the 10 us was not going to work, we were able to make a deal with some other guy right there (I have no idea who he was) for one six-seater and one four-seat for  $200 cash total, so it all worked out in the end.  

I am now trying to get my deposit back and see that their website no longer works.  I sent an email requesting the deposit be returned; if I don't hear from them soon, I will dispute it via paypal.  Anyways, you might want to confirm and see if you have a reservation or your deposit returned.

We are considering two itineraries for an Alaska cruise next summer. The only difference in itinerary is one stops in Ketchikan from 6:30am until 3:00pm, and the other is Icy Strait Point from 12:00pm until 10:00pm. Any comments/suggestions on which is better and why? TIA

My experience, but way back in 2001, I was planning mugs for people in my group. I had designed a template with the Carnival logo and whale tale, our ship name, dates and ports, and our names on the back. When I went to have them made, the company would not do it because of the trademark/copyright issue. Ended up using a generic picture of a cruise ship with a palm tree and dolphin and the ship name, date and ports.

We are on the Getaway in June. Our stop in Stockholm will be porting atNynashamm.

My question is does anyone have any idea where the “central location”for free time might be? I know theGetaway is just starting this itinerary in May, but wondered if a previous ship/itinerarymight have offered this excursion. Wouldlike to go back to the Old Town toexplore there on our own.

My SIL and niece are doing Carnival's parasailing excursion in Nassau. Does anyone happen to know what beach or dock Carnival's excursion boat leaves from? My husband and I would like to go watch and take pictures if we can. Thanks much!

I currently have a reservation with a Cruise Reward certificate as the deposit. I am going to have to cancel that cruise (before final payment, so no problem there). I understand NCL will reissue the Cruise Reward certificate. Does anyone know how long it takes to be reissued? We are wanting to book a different future cruise but didn't know how long we would have to wait to book it and use it for the deposit. TIA!

Has anyone ever just gotten off the ship and reserved a golf cart or open air Jeep?

I would prefer to reserve a golf cart, but several attempts to reach Nathan's has gotten no response (not a big surprise from what I read on here). An open air jeep would also be okay, but Tony's Car Rentals does not have any open air Jeeps available the date we are there (19 Dec).

So, I was just wondering what the chances are of us getting off the ship and finding an available golf car or jeep? Or does anyone know of anywhere else to reserve either a golf cart of jeep? TIA.

Are you sure about your final payment date? Final payment is usually 60-75 days prior to departure date depending on the number of days of the trip. If you are sailing June 22, final payment would be due sometime in April, not the end of May. Just don't want you to miss paying it late!
