  1. Well, it would seem like Carnival has tightened up there rules alot since we last went on a cruise 10 years ago.

I seem to remember back then that they never checked our shopping bag when re-boarding at Cozumel ... just walked back on the ship.

I guess things have changed alot since then ... oh well

I will say this ! I bought a very expensive bottle of bourbon my last cruise 200$ in couzmel ! And carnival took perfect care of it untill last night of cruise but I will admit I bought a pint bottle of rum in jamaica put in my camera bag nothing was said heck I did'nt even remember it untill we returned home and got to Looking for it !! still unopened to this day !! We Just keep it as reminder of jamaica!!!

  2. I found this information online and thought it would be useful for anyone debating if the cheers program would be worth it to them or not.

The question many are asking: "Is it worth it?"

Program Cost = $49.40 per day with gratuity

    Sample 1

    5 - Martinis

    ($8.95/per)

    = $51.50 with gratuity

    Sample 2

7 - Top Shelf Vodka Drinks

    ($7.50/per)

    = $53.63 with gratuity

    Sample 3

    8 - Domestic Beers

    ($5.75/per)

    = $52.96 with gratuity

    Sample 4

    4 - Domestic Beers

    3 - Sodas

2 - Drinks of the Day

    = $50.43 with gratuity

If you can drink on average one of the samples above in a day, this program will save you money.

Not if your wife dont drink !! Mine doesnt drink maybe has 1 drink a year (Last time I seen her drink was 1 glass of wine at a wedding 2 years ago!)no joke !!!!

  3. too much of a hassle. Carnival needs to simplify the booking prices and booking process. If carnival is the "walmart" of cruising, it needs to adopt the same pricing (and booking) strategy. Lowest price possible - no changes, tricks, loopholes, or hoops to jump through to get a special price. Just whatever the bottom line price is, for everyone.

    amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Oh wow--this is great info. Thanks a million to all of you "Dream experts" out there. :p

Hi Hawaii697 from the great MD county of Charles!

And PictureChris, I am so angry FOR you:

"Baby Butch/George would bunch them up in a little ball, look for people looking in a different direction and throw them hard with a quick overhand motion. Another passenger noticed this along with me and we were a little shocked at him as he sneered while looking like Malfoy from the Harry Potter films."

What is his problem?! I really hope he is repremanded in some way--that is totally foul!! UGH! But, Malfoy?? LOL!!!

Here are a few cool pics I found:

    Carnival_Dream_outdoor_cafe_001.jpg

One of the neat whirlpools that extend over the beam of the ship.

You all may have seen this, but I thought this was a nice photo of the atrium:

    dream-atrium-jpeg-300x201.jpg

Please guys dont take me wrong im not a hostile person I flight befor fight But in late 90s I pitched minor leauge base ball . I may just skip this cause if I seen him do this to someone I dont think I could pass the chance to beam him back!!!!! I really dont want to go to jail LOL!! Just playing I would'nt do it but this sounds like a recipe for a well intoxicated man or woman to kick his butt!!!

  5. If they have a "Mardi Gras" themed deck party, stay alert! Those beads can be hard to see at night amidst the flashing big screen and fog machines, and they hurt like ____ if they hit you in the face!

On my Dream crusie (2/5-2/12/11) the Mardis Gras party was in the atrium immediately following the production show.

Keep your eye on the assistant cruise director baby butch/george.

Another passenger and I watched him as he threw the beads at people who weren't looking with a nasty smirk on his face.

All the other staff were gently tossing them underhand at people who were waving at them.

Baby Butch/George would bunch them up in a little ball, look for people looking in a different direction and throw them hard with a quick overhand motion.

Another passenger noticed this along with me and we were a little shocked at him as he sneered while looking like Malfoy from the Harry Potter films.

I mentioned this in my online survey I took a few days after the cruise and have not heard back, this was over 3 weeks ago.

I hate to inform you of this they wont if you give a bad review they just quit calling you to book a cruise !! I had something like what you did with no responce I finally called nothing done !!!! But Im back for another cruise with them 1 more time and dang excited to go to just cant beat there price ! I do promise you this If he throws beads at me It would be a very bad mistake !!!( I was a minor L b ball pitcher even today I throw low 90s!! )

  6. I apologize, but I do not know what an "FF-EMTIV" is, but I know what a farmer is, and unless your farming is stuck in the 1930s, you are likely a savvy individual who hopefully uses the latest methods, technology and machinery.

You must be a "money man" in some way, eh?

I agree with some of the thoughts above, but if you have the excess cash (I believe you need to buy 100 shares of the stock), and you love the cruise line, and will cruise them somewhat frequently, then just go for it.

E Trade, Scott trade, TD Ameritrade (I use TD), just go on line and open an account. You can transfer the funds from your banking account (it's safe to do!)

Once you learn the software, just put in a "market" order for 100 shares of the stock (just be sure you have enough money in the account to cover it).

If you want to be fancy, put in a "limit" order. This is one where they will not purchase the stock for you unless it is at the price you want.

Example, today, at this moment, CCL is at $37.29. If you put in a market order you might get it at $37.29, or maybe $37.31. Not a big deal.

If you put in a limit order, you will specify the price that you are willing to pay. Say, $36.50. The order might take an hour or even a week to "execute", but you'll save money.

I always trade with limit orders. If you just want the stock, put the limit order in at what you see is the current price. It will likely execute within seconds. From there, the stock goes up or down!

Right now, and over the past 12 months, CCL stock is trending upward, but will have day-to-day fluctuations. Frankly, the stock is not much more below where it was 5 years ago! They also pay a dividend, which is not bad either.

I truely like your response thank you ! You sound like you have a Heart of a teacher ! FF Emt iv is a fire fighter and a emt ! I love airplanes too I dont owe one but my uncle used to own a small airport been working on my solo for years but again has to be play money(I got my 1st lesson for washing and waxing a dr 440 cess 2nd same deal on a piper cub) !!! (EXWIFE 3 kids hint play money)

  7. Thanks guys !! I was thinking on buying a few here and there to get a onboard credit ! I work really hard for my money so I am smart with it ! Just as one poster had said play money (that was where I was going ) ! I do find it amazing how easy it is to get what one wants. To add I just thought it would be cool to say I own stock in carnival ! If any of you are from the south 1 time in my life I made alot of money off a stock purchase of a little 1 store company(at the time I bought it) called cracker barrell LOL !!! No joke I paid 75cent a share just cause I love good food lol !!!! But really guys thanks !!
