Favorites so far are Russ Nagle and Manny Olivera...

As long as it's not electrical it should be OK. I gather that you'd order boiling water from room service?
Thats my plan, or just go out to Lido to get it.

My wife and I aren't coffee drinkers
We drink something called Teeccino. It can easily be made in a coffee maker or a french press. I would love to be able to have this in the mornings on our cruise because I love to have something hot to drink but not sweet like hot chocolate all the time.

I was able to narrow down every single one of those things with the old website, so I'm still not seeing the upside...
The new one is TERRIBLE to navigate, the only upside is that its pretty.

It was a walkable village with lots of super cute shops. You could have spent a whole day right there.
My wife and I spent a week about 10 minutes from Lahaina and it was AWESOME... Adorable little town, and the Luau was great too!

Rhythms of the Night in PV. Best excursion we have been on in 7 cruises.
What does that consist of? Does it require the overnight be in PV?
-
I didn't even think of Groupon or Amazon local. Thanks!

We're cruising out of NOLA on April 8th. I've heard there is a festival in the French Quarter from the 7th-10th.
I'm hoping to arrive on the 5th or 6th and spend a couple of days wandering before the cruise. Where would you recommend staying in New Orleans before the cruise and since this is my first time going what are the MUST DO and where are the MUST EAT places?

This is one I've been thinking of booking so I can't wait to see it!!

We're on Triumph in April so I sure hope the AC in our cabin works... I have a hard time sleeping when its hot...

They REALLY need to get a ship on the West Coast that has Guys and a couple of other goodies...
-
Hit up John Heald on his Facebook page. He's their brand ambassador and from the UK himself. Hopefully he can at least get you pointed in the right direction.

Carnival has a contract with Coke. So those are the products you'll find onboard the ships.

That makes sense except that they tender in PV overnight on another itinerary and don't worry about the casino and shops there so I don't think that's the reason although it could be part of it.
PV isn't a tender port, they can actually dock there. I can imagine that tendering at night in the dark isn't very safe. Possibly one reason they don't do it.

25% off my next cruise because hurricane Paula canceled 3 out of 4 ports. I didn't have to complain (and wouldn't have) they just gave us a letter at the end of the cruise.
Thats many sea days, I'd have been a happy guy!!! :D

I am not sure you are "not allowed" to stay in Cabo overnight? It is just more iffy because the ship actually leaves port and sails around the local area. It does not remain tendered in place overnight. It comes back and tenders again the for the next day.
The problem that might occur would be if the ship was for some reason unable to return that 2nd day. Then you'd be on land and would have no way to return to your home.
If Puerto Vallarta the ship remains at the dock overnight so there is no problem to get back onto it in the morning.
This is my understanding as well.

I hope it gets some of the new goodies like blue iguana, guys burgers, and some of the other stuff if its coming back to the west coast!

I always use cash. I just go up to the guest services desk and handle it there once I'm onboard. Has worked out great for me so far.

I ended up calling about 30 minutes later. I simply asked her what cabin she showed me booked in and it was correct so I waited out. I was just being paranoid because it was the only one left (according to website) and I wanted to make sure we got it.
It did update shortly after that.
Next time I'll try logging out and closing the website, thanks everyone.

Any idea how long it usually takes to update in my booking manager area? I'm still showing the old room.

the op says "my son and i are foodies, we love swimming, shopping, historical stuff. He has no interest in things like zip lines or anything thats really an adrenaline rush".
In that case, curacao is the place to go. Bonaire, as you're read is pretty good for only snorkeling.
Snorkeling is nice, but it apparently is not one of the big interests they are looking for.....
thank you!!!

If you can't be there within 15 minutes of your dinners start time just go to the Lido deck.
-
Thanks for all of the info everyone...
Sounds like for him Curacao would probably be the best for the cultural experience.
HOWEVER...
I need to book a cruise with Bonaire for my wife and I, we LOVE snorkeling. :D

I'm planning a trip for my 12 year (at time of sailing) son, myself and his Uncle. Its a guys only trip.
I'm looking at two different 8 day itineraries? Both on the Sunshine, 3 ports (I love sea days).
The only difference is the Aruba, Grand Turk and then one of these two ports.
My son and I are foodies, we love swimming, shopping, historical stuff.
He has no interest in things like Zip Lines or anything thats really an adrenaline rush. I think he might do cave tubing, maybe...
Thanks for the help!

When I was in Puerta Vallarta we went to the zoo. It was fabulous. Then we stopped at a restaurant that our driver recommended right on the beach, we ate and played in the water, then it was off to old town for some wandering around and shopping. It was a great port stop. One of my favorites.
