  1. We will be on the Imagination Feb 19th I haven't been able to find out which Pier they dock at. We would very much like to book City View ourselves, but my husband does have mobility problems. Is it a long walk from where the ship docks to where we catch the trolley?

On a side note - I've heard a lot about The Flying Monkey - and it is a family joke that my DH was afraid of the flying monkies in the Wizard of OZ. Does the trolley go by this restaurant, and would we be able to get off and grab a bite to eat?

This boards are just a wealth of information - and I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone being so helpful to everyone's questions!

The flying monkey is at 227 Duval Street. It's about to blocks east of the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum which is City View stop 1. It's a hop on hop off and it goes around all say long, so you can take as long as you want!

  2. After reading all the posts, I still can't decide if it's worth spending the 80- for a Nathan golf cart!

Seems like pluses and minuses are balancing each other out.

If you like to explore and be on your own time, DO IT!!! W had the best time ever!! We had the lighthouse to ourselves until a big tour team pulled up! We met many of the locals and they pointed out great things to explore. We had churches, hidden beaches and roads to ourselves. We even had a few hours left to enjoy the beach at Jack's Shack!! I would go it again in a heartbeat!!

  3. I could never figure out why they want you to leave that Shore Excursion ticket with the information booth. It would be much wiser to keep it in your possession in the event someone questions if you rented the cabana as was your experience.

I agree. We got to our cabana at about 8:15 and some guy came by around 1:00 and said, "where's your ticket?"....took the ticket and walked off without saying anything! He earned an island service crew rating of 0!! He was a real jerk! The HAL staff is GREAT, but the local island staffers were less than friendly, in our experience that 1 day.

  4. Where did you find the $2.00 coupon? I was planning to buy in advance since it is a little bit cheaper, but if I had a coupon I'd rather just buy when we get there.

The $2.00 coupons are in the free visitor coupon books that are all over the place!! Easy to find in Key West!

  5. No sink but they do have a outside shower. I don't remember anything about hot water, think its just regular tap unheated. you need to make sure you get the pics of the 2 story jobs they have going on now. They make for one crowded beach. I was just there and spent the money for the very last one at the end and will never do it again.

How sad for you. :o. We had the exact same cabana and had the best day of our cruise!!!!! It's in the eye of the beholder.

As far as the two story cabanas, they are VERY close together with not much privacy and clearly on top of the smaller cabanas around them. it could make for a very non-relaxing mood if you get the wrong cabana and the right partiers next to you.

They appear to be right around where the pirate bar is. The last 2 cabanas on the beach and the first 5 or 6 didn't seem to be effected.

  6. If you read back thru this and the other HMC threads, you will see the two story cabanas are still under construction- they aren't open yet. Thus no one has experienced them yet.

Otherwise, the basic components- the food, drinks, etc, are the standard package for the other cabanas.

I was just there yesterday. 2-3 of them are darn near completion!

  7. I emailed him yesterday evening and received a reply this morning around 5 a.m. Maybe you should try the email again.

I agree. I'm sorry... I don't know about the Van. The pier is very long in Grand Turk from what I understand. Nathan's is right outside the cruise center. I don't know how long of a walk that is, but I would think that they have a transport service for people with mobility.

  8. I can get to the home page, then the individual ship page (specifically Amsterdam) but any attempt to look at specific cabins or decks gives me "404-page not found". I can return to the home page from here but cannot access any cabin info. Thanks.

That's the same error I found through either a mobile device or through tapatalk. Just open it in full site mode. It should work fine.

  9. Are you clicking on this URL?: http://abqreunion2008.com/ or on this one?: http://joanjett2000.topcities.com/HAL/

I ask because I am able to get to all the ship's pages on Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome on both of my computers.

If others could see if they have a problem, I'd really appreciate it as it could be coming up in mine because it is in a hidden cache or ...... Otherwise I will have to wait until we get back from Dinner tonight and have hubby check the links on his computers.

I'm using the first link. I am using both Safari and Tapatalk and they have both worked in the past... Even when you changed from the original link.
