  1. LOVED Grand Turk. Swam at the beach for a bit then went into Margaritaville as we realized we used too much time at the beach. Had a GREAT day. Loved it. definitely want to go back.

  2. We had this happen at home. Last year someone installed skimmers at gas stations. After a good portion of my friends were hit by this I am pretty careful when going to ATM's, gas stations etc. I "jiggle" where you insert your card. Lots of times they install the readers right over the CC slots.

Just be careful. We're using mainly a CC now instead of a debit card for everything.

  3. I just get drunk and fall asleep in a deck chair.

hahaha! you made me laugh out loud!

I try to be considerate. I want to lounge all day. I'll find a spot somewhere. I won't flip if it's not right on the lido deck. But I do like to keep a consistent spot so my son can find me. I won't though save 4 chairs when I have a family of 4. We usually keep the two chairs we use and the kids can rotate. They never sit for very long anyway.

I'm on vacation. I'm usually pretty mellow regardless

  4. As someone who has done FTTF, I actually am surprised that this is boarded before platinum customers. I agree with you.

I feel the same way. We cruised out of Miami last time and we used FTTF. They definitely boarded platinum before us. In fact we were sitting by another family who was also FTTF and they were SO mad about it. I was a little embarrassed for them and to be sitting by them. They got up and got in the line and I kept thinking it's not FTTF time yet. they didn't call us. So when they denied them the man kept arguing "but we PAID for this we get priority boarding" the gate agent was so nice. She kept saying "after this group sir" he was mad. Anyway I do enjoy getting on early and will probably keep trying to buy FTTF until we get that perk by cruising alot.

  5. FUN!!!

A few of my friends did the whole drive to the port then say "you want to eat lunch on the ship?" kids said "can you do that??" they said "sure because we're going on a CRUISE!" so fun

Well for you maybe you can say you are going on vacation, flying and then give your kids a small gift to unwrap before they get on the plane. Maybe some cruise related items?

    have the best time!

  6. Loved your pictures. I really loved the Glory. We cruised the week prior to you. We had a rowdy spring break cruise and I'll admit sometimes I was right in the mix. LOL. But I did enjoy that I could go to the aft area or serenity and get away from the loud lido area (but I kind of like that!)

Your dogs are so cute! I thought our dog was going to burst out of her kennel when we got home. We leave her at home and have someone stay with her. So lucky for that.

This is the best advice you gave:

My advice to cruisers would be to enjoy your vacation and don't get wound up in the details - its a vacation and a bad day on vacation is better than most any other day!

SO TRUE! first cruise so many tips/pieces of advice and info got in my way a few times. This time I was able to relax a bit more and just go with the flow. We had a blast.

  7. Let's hear the Forty is the New Twenty and The Deal Closer!!! I've heard both of those are fantastic:)

They are SO good. I drank a couple of the 40 is the new 20's on our last cruise and the bartender kept telling me he was keeping me young. It was a young person's drink. LOL.

  8. Did you happen to notice if there was a duo or trio by the casino outside of the casino that you could just sit & listen to or perhaps dance??

I was on the glory the next week and every night there was a band in the casino that played a variety of music. The band that was there was Deja Vu. They were from Canada I believe. I loved listening to them and danced a few nights. I really enjoyed those nights. We actually ran into the band in puerto rico one day and they all yelled and said hi! Fun group!

  9. Depended what was going on.

My 10 year old did Night Owls one night.

I know one night we watched a movie with him.

He went to a show with us another night.

I think one night he wasn't feeling well and went to the room to watch non stop Dragonball Z on the TV LOL. He did that two nights actually. I checked in on him. He was asleep early. I think our last cruise wore him out faster.

  10. I agree with you about Camp Carnival on this cruise. My son was 10 on the cruise and while there were a ton of kids, not many his age at night. He wanted to move up, but it was pretty full. He still had a TON of fun though.

Dr. E was AWESOME. We too sang Cha cha for now and his good morning song and still do once in awhile. It was a fun cruise overall I enjoyed it. We sailed in March.
