  1. We were on Oasis in July. My son brought his clubs for the ship's golf tour in Jamaica. The porter in FLL wouldn't take them, but said that it was because of the liability issue - evidently people had accused the porters of damaging their clubs, and they were no longer accepting them as a matter of policy. However, my son was allowed to roll the golf bag on to the ship after putting it through the metal detector. After he played, he was allowed to board the ship in Falmouth with the clubs, & no questions asked.

The only issue I've had with "sports equipment" is with scuba gear. My daughter & I went diving in Cozumel last year, also when we were on Oasis. We have dive knives attached to our BC's in sheaths. We honestly didn't think anything of it. They were allowed on the ship in FLL. However, when we were rebounding in Cozumel, the Mexican authorities saw them on the Xray in our bags. They were confiscated, & we had to pick them up at security after getting off the ship in FLL.
