Is it impossible to use Verifly with a self-administered test and simply show the tests/photos at embarkation?
I have attempted to upload my negative test result photo and it rejects it due to no QR code.

The people who have been cruising all along aren't paranoid.
Not paranoid? Keep trying to believe that - see the reaction to having to cruise with unvaccinated people.

Many of us have been cruising all along while others have avoided with irrational fears.
I am glad you have admitted the irrational fear of the unvaccinated people joining them.

No need to fret. Institutions own most of the stock, individuals bring up the rear.
Doesn't stop me from wanting to see an return on investment on mine.

For the last 2.5 years all my vacations $$$ have gone to Jamaica rather than cruising. Jamaica has had testing in place for 18 months of that time, and on return only for the last 4 months of that time. Carnival/NCL/Royal could have had a share of those $s but chose not to or pressure change to the CDC guidance earlier. I am glad it is finally happening, and might see return investment into industry as well.
Carnival with the ship sell off might however might still not get the perponderance of that money due to less interesting itineraries from ports I like. (FL - Galveston is horrible to fly into and airport transfer)- 1

Eventually the industry will figure out that the money tree will end and will change their policies. The quicker they do that the better to their bottom line. Only fools intentionally limit their the customer base at this point especially in light of current Covid Negligence laws for businesses.

Has anyone made the switch to buying annual travel insurance? I just did through Nationwide primarily for the medical evacuation / coverage rather than an specific cancellation coverage -- although it does cover that as well but not "any reason." The coverage seemed similar to specific trip plans coverage. The cost ($230) was reasonable for 5 people, which appealed to my Dutch side but made my "too good to be true" alert.
The cancellation coverage ($2500) would be about the same of each trip insurance individually, and Nationwide typically has good reviews on the sites. Just looking for other experiences with Nationwide or other annual plans.

Frankly, the Liberty has been the best Carnival boat out of all the ones we have been on. (7 cruises, 2 on Liberty) I highly recommend her.

Yep, there are still isolated cases where the military discount is significantly less than the Early Saver fares or offer cabin upgrades that the ES fares don't have. One benefit RCI cruises also have is firefighter discounts, which I also qualify for, but I prefer cruising with Carnival instead.

On my recent last minute present cruise, my PVP called me on Christmas and said he had noticed I was looking at cruises. He quoted me a rate $40 cheaper per person than I could find online even with all possible discounts online. I had been tracking prices for the previous few weeks almost every day, so I was happy to get a balcony cheaper than expected.
-
If you are willing to risk not going, waiting until the last minute has worked for us the last two cruises we purchased. The balcony was much cheaper than Outside View initially, and the Suite was even cheaper for the week earlier -- higher air fare eliminated the savings that week. Carnival at least for the cruises I was looking 30-60 days out were dropping prices to fill the boat.

On my cruises, I have always brought additional soda, but that is because I like soda that isn't sold on board, and frankly it's cheaper. Enjoy your vacation, and do whatever enables you have a better, more enjoyable cruise. (within the rules that Carnival sets)

Ultimately it sounds like the card you used with your Sign and Sail card was denied when Carnival tried to use it, and then it reverted to using any card it had on file. Should Carnival had notified you of the failure on the original card? Perhaps, but then again what else could you have done at that point to pay your tab?

Orange Fever. I believe they are returning
They are mine as well. I only hope they get the current situation with the local government settled by February 21.

Good to know... we loved this beach in 2014 and were looking forward to the idyllic views.

Looking forward to the rest... We are leaving in less than 55 days on a last minute Christmas present cruise on the 21st of Feb.

We came originally from Carnival where it was specifically 12-cans/bottles per person hard limit. When we boarded the Freedom of the Seas in May we actually brought 18 per person and had one bag stopped or held downstairs. I went downstairs proved no liquor in the duffel and showed the 12 pack of soda, and was sent on my way. They were unconcerned about soda, and were simply looking for alcoholic beverages.

I have three rooms reserved on Navigator of the Seas in December. We have 2 2-person rooms, and one 4-person cabin. The 4-person cabin is currently a Large Oceanview cabin with 2 twin bed and a sofa bed. Is the room (8514) large enough for 4 people (my wife and three teenage daughters)? Are there balconies (short of Suites ) that would have the third and fourth pullman? Thanks!

Those JetPacks still depend on the presence of cellular towers. Cell towers outside the continental US, such as in ports, will be a different rate on Verizon due to roaming than inside the United States. In the middle of the ocean outside the range of cell towers, those Jet Packs will not work at all.

I personally have used Travelex insurance the last three times, but have not had the misfortune to have to use them yet.

Anybody have experience with "Experience Belize Tours" with Allen? I am contemplating going with them to Altun Ha.

Great job!!! 8 years! .. Do you have an excersise routine that has helped you maintain.? :)
For me, I run. I run a couple marathons a year. Prior to low carbing, I would never have had the energy to do that or even run a mile.

I do more cardio than I normally do back at home -- Strongman/Powerlifter. I do a ton of DB work depending if they get heavy enough. Carnival had 90# or 100#, which made for a decent bench / goblet squat workouts. OHP gets more work as well as they are usually lighter. Smith machine is OK, but generally left to others.
