9118 should be a standard balcony. We had 9020 on our last cruise and it was the 1st open balcony. All the balconies forward of us were enclosed. It would also state it on your confirmation is it was an enclosed balcony.

Bar set-up is great for drinks in your cabin or in a to-go cup poolside. However, on our first cruise we preferred enjoying a beverage at the bars, casino, etc., and our bar set-up almost went to waste... almost ;).

In theory, we could have gone back to the room each time to make drinks to bring back to wherever we were. In reality, I was far too lazy for that.

Can anyone confirm whether or not Dawn cabin 9118 has a "normal" open balcony (vs. semi-enclosed)?

If anyone is curious, I just called the main NCL reservation line to buy a bottle for our cruise in 2 weeks (at the rates most recently posted). The very nice lady also offered me a choice of 1-3 mixers to go along with it. I'm assuming these are included in the bottle price charged to my card, but wish I would've clarified... It all happened so fast! I'll find out in 2 weeks I guess ;)

She also told me that they have the capability to process bar set-up requests through the reservation line as well as through the ship's event coordinator.
