  1. Muranos all the way! Ate there 3xs on our last cruise on Silhouette which has same restaurants as Reflection.
Did Lawn Club Grill twice, lovely atmosphere and the flatbread pizza is outstanding, it’s my favorite part of the meal (choc chip cookie too!)

Did not care for Tuscan Grill, tried it on Summit and Silhouette.
Sushi on 5 is a great lunch spot for us. We don’t eat sushi, but love the dumplings and the soups. Le Petite Chef is too gimmicky for me, plus it’s a set menu that isn’t to my liking.

  2. Definitely bring a sweater for indoors. Was on Silhouette in Feb/March in the Caribbean and it was freezing in the restaurants,

lounges and casino, even though the outdoor temperatures were not that warm. I actually didn’t wear any of the shorter dresses I brought because my legs were so cold! What was odd was that in the mornings it was fine, it was the evenings that were so cold.

Is it true that sky Suites on Reflection do not have access to Michael's club, etc.?

    Only perk is Luminue?

No Butler, No mini bar, etc?

All suites including Sky Suites have access to Michaels Club and Luminae. Not sure if dedicated butlers have been reinstated on Reflection yet, but if not there is a retreat team in place to handle your needs. Celebrity expects to have all butlers back on all ships by June.
Sky Suites never had the minibar included, that is an amenity of upper tier suites, Royal Suite and higher.

The question was about the MDR and I’m onboard Eclipse now and in the MDR they Do have assistant Waiters and Sommelier and that has been my recent experience on the S and M class ships.

Yes I know! I was already corrected on this, no need to do it again. I didn’t notice in the original post that they asked about the MDR.

Does Celebrity still have assistant waiters and sommeliers in their main dining room on the m class ships?

On our Silhouette sailing in Feb I asked our waiter in Luminae who our asst waiter was as several people were doing different jobs (bread, refilling water, serving) and I wasn’t sure about who to tip at the end of our cruise.
He said there really weren’t “asst” waiters anymore, everyone just pitched in.
There was still a dedicated sommelier.

We have an upcoming cruise on the Silhouette, we are in the Retreat and would love any color on the bars and drinks. I tend to favor brown liquor, smoky drinks and tiki inspired cocktails, my wife likes cocktails with gin, vodka and sparkling wine/champagne. Any recommendations are appreciated. Are there any overlooked bars or must try’s?

Definitely go to Craft Social, right outside the casino and across the floor from the Martini bar! They have a wonderful choice of bourbons and one of the bartenders named Sean made my husband the most amazing smoked old fashions every night, trying different bourbons.

  7. The menu changes every night and on the Reflection you are also able to ask for the MDR menu as the kitchens are next to each other. I was on the Silhouette (sister ship) in Feb and the nights we dined in Luminae I would mix and match from both menus.
Suite guests also are permitted to eat in Blu, based on availability and having it cleared through Blu’s Maitre D’.

I am on a seven day Alaska cruise this June. There are two sea days. Will the formal nights still be the sea days?

Celebrity does not have formal nights, they are called Chic evenings and are more relaxed than the formal nights of the past. The dress code is on the Celebrity website, but is basically anything but shorts  in the dining venues. You’ll see some still like to go all out, but the majority dress more casual.
On a 7 night cruise they usually are day 2 and day 6.

Is anybody allowed to dine in Luminae or do you have to know somebody in the suites to dine there and what is the fee please?

Luminae is not like a speciality restaurant where anyone can just pay a fee to dine there. You have to be invited by a suite guest and it needs to be cleared with the Maitre D’ based on date/time/availability. Fees are not consistent across the fleet. It used to be that the fee was charged to the suite guests account.

  10. 2 years ago we had a b2b booked for 4/18/24 (4 nights) and 4/22/24 (10 nights) on the Silhouette, both non refundable deposits.  Got notified last year that they decided to reposition the ship to Europe a week earlier, thereby cancelling the 2nd leg of our trip. They offered to move the 10 day, gave us various dates and we did the cruise in Feb. They offered nothing for ruining our back to back and would not budge on letting us move the 4 nighter to hook it up with the new Feb cruise. They said we would have to pay the rate that the cruise was at which was like $$3000 more (it was for the PH)

In the end we cancelled the April 4 nighter but they did return the deposit which was only $300.
Your friend should escalate this as she should be entitled to every penny back. They cancelled, not her!

We are considering bidding from a verandah to one of the suites and wondering what will be included.( we have not purchased a drink package, we are elite if that matters)  A search gives me more questions than answers. I understand that Wi-Fi, premium drinks, OBC and gratuity are not included. Where it gets confusing is what’s included at the retreat lounge, bar and pool deck.  Can anyone help clarify that, please?  I am also curious about what dining options are included specifically on the Beyond.  I’ve previously read that all specialty restaurants are included for all suite guests. Is this still the case?
Thanks so much for your help.

If you win a move up bid to a suite you do not get the retreat perks of a beverage package and the premium internet, you keep whatever perks you had with your original booking. You would get Luminae, the suite restaurant as your dining venue, and access to the retreat lounge (or Michaels club) and the retreat pool deck on edge ships or the retreat deck on renovated ships.

Speciality dining was never included for all suites, it’s an amenity for Royal Suites and above.
If you win a move up bid to one of the upper tier suites (RS and above) you then would get the amenities (different from retreat perks) that come with that tier suite. That would include the speciality dining, 2 bottles of liquor in your suite and a fully stocked (beer, soda, water) fridge replenished daily.

  12. In the PH last month on Silhouette and our dedicated butler had a total of 13 suites to take care of. There is not 1 butler per high end suite, they are assigned quite a few. With butlers returning to Sky Suites, they’ll probably have even more.

  13. Was on a 10 day Silhouette cruise a few weeks ago and there was only one night in the Retreat Lounge with live music. It was the solo guitar player/singer, Cancio (he was excellent!) who was in various venues around the ship during the cruise. There was an invitation in our suite announcing the performance I think the morning of after we returned from breakfast.

  14. We were on the 2nd leg of this trip and had a great time! Had included speciality dining so ate 6 out of 10 nights in these venues and totally enjoyed every meal. Will say that the nights we dined in Luminae I had a hard time finding something that appealed to me, as they have gotten to fancy with the choices. Thankfully they offer the MDR menu on Silhouette so I was able to mix and match. Breakfast was the star for me in Luminae.
As stated by the OP, the crowd on the ship were older, but I was stunned by how empty some venues were by 10pm! The casino only had a handful of players, the martini bar was dead, not a soul sitting there when I passed by to get to the elevators.
Entertainment was good. The illusionist was very entertaining. The singer in the theater was talented and the added bonus was that if you were a fan of the tv show Chicago Med you knew him. We actually had a wonderful conversation with him on the pool with his mom the afternoon of his scheduled performance. Really nice, polite, personable guy.
If the soloist Cancio is on your cruise be sure to see him! He did a set in the Retreat Lounge one evening and he was fantastic!
Perfect weather on port days. My favorite was Barbados, most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. We’ve been to the islands several times, but I’ll always get myself to the beach here.
All and all a very enjoyable vacation. Silhouette is our favorite ship and we hope to be back onboard in the future.

Looking at a cruise that ends in New York 7th May. Starts in Fort Lauderdale.

For people who may have done this type of cruise before can you tell me what weather to expect between Caribbean and New York, just rough idea on temperature at that time of year

    Many thanks

I've seen this debated so many times!  Is it two per person or two per cabin and depending on the day and where you look...different parts of the X website even say different things.  Regardless, we'll play it safe and stick to one per person.  Thank you for the clarification 🙂

It’s one bottle per person of drinking age in your cabin. Link to Celebrity’s FAQ’s about alcohol
