  1. If you're there at 11am you shouldn't have trouble with Mardi Gras traffic. The first parade on Sat doesn't roll until 2:30pm and while the terminal is downtown, it's a few blocks from parade route A. If you come in on I-10 from the west, you'll get off on Canal St and MG traffic shouldn't be a problem. MG RV city does come right to Canal St. though, so you will see hundreds of RVs parked right across the street from the terminal, under the interstate. They shouldn't be a problem for you though.

Yes, I know how to get there... Thanks!! .(I'm from Foley) But I am also aware how busy Mobile is on Mardi Gras no matter how late they start. My main question is how early does parking garage open? LOL I guess I could have left out all that Mardi Gras stuff, Sorry!! :)

  2. We are cruising from Mobile this weekend. Glad we have 11:00 am check in time... Hope to get ahead of Mardi Gras traffic before it gets too bad. How early does the Parking garage open? Not trying to get in before my time, but hope to get in to parking garage before my check in time.

  3. This guy has been all over the boards asking questions about the Fantasy. He also wants to know how late he can board the ship, and how he can skirt the muster drill. Glad I'm not on his cruise cause he'll be the one stumbling back to the ship in port while everyone waits for him to board. ;)

BTW, this guy is a girl and we are NOT trying to skirt the Muster drill!!!!! If you must know, we are worried about our travel time, and making our plans to NOT miss the muster drill or the Boat!!!!!!! Please do NOT assume you know me because you do NOT!! ALSO, I did not realize I had duplicated a post. same post twice just in case you don't know what that meant. I never ask anything on here and when I do, I get shot down for it. Mind your business, and if you do not like what i ask... don't assume you do, PLEASE try to be nice and keep your smart answers to yourself. Everyone is so quick to judge someone, when You think you had me figured out you are WRONG!!!! I am sorry I posted the same thing twice. I actually thought the 1st one did not get posted. We are NOT bad people and try to do the right thing. I thought this is what these message boards are for is to get help from other cruisers.

  4. From Carnivals FAQ:

Providing a good embarkation experience is an important way to get your cruise started on the right foot.**All guests are required to check-in at embarkation at least 60 minutes prior to the published ship departure time or risk cancellation of their reservation. Guests may access staterooms no earlier than 1:30pm,*unless you are a VIFP Diamond or Platinum level guest or have purchased Faster to the Fun.

Please remember stuff happens. Please don't arrive to close to the cut off time. You don't want to miss the ship.

The safety drill will occur prior to sailing away.

Thank You, Thank You... This answers My question!!!

  5. Be patient, grasshopper.

Muster drill will be with-in an hour after departure.

    I'm sorry.... grasshopper???? Patient???

I have a good reason to ask this question AND I have been on cruises when most of the the muster drill has been before sailing away, but others have been right after.

I am not an Impatient grasshopper!!!!

  6. Hi there

Soft drinks and water are only allowed to be brought on board in cans or cartons. 12 per person. Still allowed 1- 750ml. bottle of wine per adult on embarkation day. These are to be brought on board with your carry-on baggage, not checked bags.

They do have water sold at reasonable cost on board (or ordered pre cruise for your cabin) if you chooses to purchase it.

    hope this helps

    have a great cruise

Thanks so much for your reply. just wasn't sure if this had changed or not.

  7. Why mention the Fantasy, rules are fleet wide. You can order a 12 pack of water to be waiting in your cabin

It shouldn't bother you that I mentioned the Fantasy. I realize it is fleetwide. I don't like asking questions on here because you never know when someone will question me for mentioning the Fantasy or something that doesn't mean a thing to you. If you don't like the words I use.... Keep on scrolling!! BTW, Happy New To You!!!

  8. Thanks for the mini review. Also appreciate everyone else's comments about Fantasy. So many negative reviews out there, glad to hear someone enjoyed themselves. Been on over 55 cruises and none of them are that bad:)

Not expecting luxury, but also didn't pay luxury price for this cruise.

I have been worried about going back on the Fantasy, because it seems like a lot of negative reviews lately. This will be our 3rd time on the Fantasy. I noticed we are going on the same one with y'all. You need to join our Roll Call.

hope we have good weather in February. :) We plan to go with a positive attitude and make the best of it.

  9. Do you mean the Carnival Fantasy "board" right above this thread? If so, that's just a search, not a separate board. It just searches the Carnival board for posts mentioning Fantasy.

No, My start a new thread button was not showing up. i know about search though. Thanks.

  10. Is it just me or is something wrong with the Carnival Fantasy Message board?? I was wondering why there were NO New post? Then I realized there is Not a "New Thread" button to start a new post. What's going on? I have just recently been back on Cruise Critic message boards, but didn't know if something has changed.
