We have never cruised Holland America but are considering one for 2025. We are eligible for the AARP OBC and the Healthcare & First responders OBC. Should we apply for these before we actually book a cruise so I can tell my TA we have them or wait until after we book?
Do it before. It is for “new bookings only”. So if you do it after you probably won’t get it on that cruise.

I would like to know this too. I have an email from SheerID stating my eligiblity for the offer had been verified, but there is nothing showing online in my booking and nothing from HAL. Emailed guest relations and received a case number a week ago, but no response. How hard could it be to show the OBC in the Navigator App?
I did the live chat today because I couldn’t see mine on my account. I’m glad I did because it wasn’t there. They had to get someone else who could add it to my upcoming cruise. Even though I had already verified for the year.

I have found that I do best when I take a meclizine every night at bedtime. I start the day before we embark. It makes me sleepy if I take it during the daytime.

Ricotta raspberry tart at dinner in the MDR was my favorite dessert I had during my Alaska cruise in June

I just want to say how thankful I am for this thread! We travel for the first time on this ship in June and this information is very helpful.

We found them almost identical. Did Eurodam July 22 to Alaska and NA March 23 to Caribbean.

What food is available in Exploration cafe? Just cookies/pastries?

We did this tour last July. We went to the Mendenhall first by bus. We were dropped off near the Visitor Center, and we walked to Nugget Falls from there. Then we got back on the bus and went to the Gardens. This tour was not what we had planned but our helicopter tour was cancelled because of weather. The Gardens was beautiful and we really enjoyed it.

I was waitlisted for an excursion on my last cruise. Never got an email saying "Surprise! A spot opened up for you" BUT a note was on my bed on embarkation day that I had the excursion. Sad thing was, after a little "tiff" (I think) between the tenders and HAL crew, 12 of us had to take the next tender. And the excursion left without us. I just went my original plan to do some walking but was really bummed!!
This happened to us too. We were never notified we got off the waitlist but had a note on our bed when we embarked. Thankfully we had enough time to cancel the other excursion we had booked (that one was non-HAL)

I am on NA the week before (12-19 March). The excursions for Half Moon Cay just showed up in the last few days for me. I would keep checking back.

We stayed at Fairfield Inn SeaTac (free airport shuttle), and used Seattle Express for transportation to the ship.

Hope to see the Alaska menus if you have time..
It looks like they update the MDR menu daily on the Navigator App so should be able to see them next week when the first Alaska cruise starts.

How far in advance do you book the Seattle Express? I’m not sure when I will find out what our boarding time is.

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn SeaTac airport - it's clean and the cheapest mid-brand hotel consistently.
When you stay here how do you get to the port? Uber?
Has any one done the Quebec excursion from cruise ship that includes tea at Frontenac hotel?
in Canada/New England

Have you done the afternoon tea before? Considering making a reservation when we are there in October.
