  1. I wish they had 7 day cruises on the Disney Dream. We went on the Disney Fantasy (sister ship) last October and it was "magical". I almost cried the last night... This ship is just gorgeous! three days is not enough. Although I liked the food on the Fantasy (did you see that caribbean lobster?!! WOW), I thought the food on the Liberty of the Seas this summer was better.

I agree with you Gambee, that buffet was really nice, even at breakfast. I thought the eggs benedict were uneatable on the Liberty, my point of comparison being disney cruises. They eggs benedict are so delicious on the disney cruise! RCI take notes! Did you get to taste any wafles and strawberry and cream? Gosh such a delight.

    Anyway love the pictures! :)

  2. Whew, after reading this much anticipated ending, reading the Freedom and the Serenade reviews, having booked a med cruise before finding your reviews, waiting patiently... (not so), I finally ended up jumping ship, cancelling my med cruise on the norwegian epic and booked the liberty of the seas in a junior suite, go figure why I did that, AND booked the Allure for next March in the process...! I know I'm crazy like that too! :p

Now I have to change my CC signature, start another roll call, etc. Work, work, work. Geez!!

Reading the grand finale, I realized that you (might) have cancelled your Oasis cruise, not seeing it in your signature?

I hope you have a great cruise on your next "chef's" cruise (being also a foodie), I can't wait to see (nice) pictures :D of your meals on the Celebrity.

I also really hope you feel much better, and much less congested.

Sherri, Happy Easter to you and your family.

  3. Hi!

I really enjoyed reading your review. It's really too bad you didn't have nice weather in Labadee.

I thought your dresses were very pretty on formal nights. May I ask where you got them from? Did you find that the ladies were appropriately dressed on formal nights. Were some wearing long dresses? What would you say was the ratio between cocktail dresses vs long dresses?

What was the dress code in the restaurants (if it's not formal night, did you see any women wearing cocktail dresses and long dresses)?

I know this subject is sometimes treated in other theads, but I would like your opinion on this particular subject.

    Thanks! :p

  4. Hi Sherri or anybody else that could answer :D,

Great trip reports. I read all of them.

I'm so sorry to intrude. I'm about to book a cruise for March 2nd 2014 on the Allure of the Seas. This trip report got me too excited. But I'm wondering about the weather. We went on a cruise at the end of October (27th), just after Sandy, and it was a little chilly when we left Orlando on the Disney Fantasy (which was totally fabulous by the way). The weather really improved as we moved South (even on the way back). So I'm afraid that March might be a little chilly also. We were in Turks and Caicos last March and the weather was between 75 an 80oF. My idea of a vacation is to go to the beach and to the pool and I think 75oF is a little chilly. And since Sherri went on a cruise in January, she might know a thing or two about the weather. I also booked a med cruise on the ncl epic in July but I now would have preferred going on the liberty OTS after reading about the trip report on the freedom... decisions decisions!!

I'm also looking at a June 2014 cruise on the Allure (it is a bit more pricey and tooooo far away, but hey if the weather can be warmer). And hubby wants to go back to Turks and Caicos , so I really need good arguments to be able to book the Allure in March!
