  1. I also booked directly with an ambassador on the Explorer Journeys website. However, although i have received an email documenting my deposit on my reservation, I do not see my reservation anywhere on their website.  This definitely is not the norm in the cruise industry, as I have booked and sailed on many different lines, and always have seen my trip on the line's website under my account bookings.  Has anyone else experienced this?

    thanks in advance

We’re booked on the Apex eastern Mediterranean itinerary. Can anyone currently onboard or recently sailed on the Apex tell me the times of the evening show in the theater? I booked dinner ,most nights at 8pm thinking the show would be 7pm and we would have

time to make an 8pm, but if the show is at 7:30, I’ll have to rethink. Thanks in advance

we just got off the apex on the norwegian fjiords cruise. the shows were 7:30 and 9:30 in the main theater.

Thank you for your responses.  I am thinking we will book the Equinox, unless someone can change my mind.  We would book a Deluxe Porthole View with Veranda on The Beyond.  And we are looking at 7286, a 1A on the Equinox.  We have that one on a hold.

i think you will love the equinox, we are going back on it in january,  Its one of our favorite ships in the celebrity fleet.

On our cruise there was never a wait to get into Luminae, in fact the ship had 1000 fewer passengers than it can hold at full capacity.  We did not go to any specialty restaurants, we prefer Blu to all of those.

the lounge was never full either! In fact we spent most of our on board time in the retreat lounge and sundeck.

Thank you.  We are in a suite.   Were Luminae and the lounge busy?  Did you go to any specialty restaurants?

  7. Just got off the Apex (cruised the Norwegian Fjiords). the ship is magnificent.  the retreat lounge if you are in a suite is not to be missed.  Our favorite bar is the martini bar which on this ship is in the centrum, and there is live entertainment in the evenings.  The theater is wonderful as well, and the shows were a bit better than on our previous celebrity cruises.

  8. we just switched our booking to this cruise!  we were originally on the jan 4, 2022 sailing on the EDGE, but that was cancelled, and the Silhouette took its place. Edge and Apex just doing 7 night carribean sailings for winter 2021-2022.  As I've been on the silhouette, we were fine with this,AND they honored the price of our original edge cruise.

  9. hi all, hope someone can help me make some choices: we are looking for private tours in cartegena, colon, panama and puerto limon, costa rica.

we are interested in history, culture, the panama canal, the rainforest and a little shopping. for activities, we want to go ziplining in the rain forest, and go to gatun lake and see the canal in panama.

this will be in january, and we are also wondering what the climate is like then.

    thanks in advance,

  10. we are on the 2/22 sailing of the Dream following the Princess Weekend at the parks. there will be 6 of us traveling to Port Canaveral and I know there are several limo services that offer this service. Can anyone who has used car service to get the port recommend a particular limo service? We will have a lot of luggage as we are bringing a baby as part of the family vacation!

    thanks in advance,

  11. Has anyone else felt that the entertainment on the Summitt has been mediocre at best? We just got off the Summitt on a Bermuda cruise, and I would have expected that the singers and dancers would be a little better trained or rehearsed. Have been on other lines and have always been very happy with the entertainment, but on this cruise I felt that the entertainment lacked a lot. The best show was the quartet who sang the hits from the 4 Seasons. They were excellent!

We've sailed on Royal Carribean's Soverign, Legend, Vision, Voyager and Navigator of the Seas, Norwegian Sun, and Disney Magic and Dream. All had better shows! just my thoughts...

  12. Agreed on Ken... We thought he was great with a crowd, but when we finally met the guy, he was quite aloof. My daughter said he was going all Hollywood on us.

I also found ken mills to be very disappointing for a cruise director. He was too loud, very over theatrical when he was mc'ing something, either at the pool, or the theater.

  13. Watching the Summit right now cruising out of Bayonne and it’s heading toward the Statue of Liberty to do a photo op for the passengers.

I hope we are lucky enough next week to do the same. :)

We never got to see the statue of liberty, problem with one of the thrusters on port side. we ended up going back to the pier and finally left the port at 4am. we did, however, get to bermuda right on time! Loved the cruise!
