  1. We ship our luggage to Europe every summer and we use Luggage Free. We are leaving for Hong Kong in about an hour, and our luggage is there, in the hotel,  waiting for us thanks to Luggage Free. We had problems with another company about 8 years ago, switched to Luggage Free and never looked back.

  2. We are booked on the Riviera next August, and have an overnight in Livorno.

We have been to Florence, Lucca and Pisa many times and the heat in August in Tuscany is over the top.

We will spend the first day in Forte dei Marmi, it is about 45 minutes from the port. The beaches are wonderful with private clubs that have day passes and great restaurants, and the shopping area is beautiful. We hope to have dinner on the beach and then return to the ship.

The second day I think we will just spend a few hours exploring Livorno. We have been to the port many times but have never been into the city. We have always been on private tours up to Tuscany, and have never seen Livorno.

  3. Luggage Free asks that you do NOT use any locks on your luggage if shipping international. TSA locks are fine for domestic travel.

We have shipped many times internationaly with no locks and have been fine using Luggage Free, not so with another well known company. Be careful who you ship with! The most expensive is not always the safest.

  4. We have used luggage free to Asia and Europe for the past 8 years and they are great. Never a problem, the luggage arrives on time and they track it from the time it leaves you until it reaches its destination and continually notify you of its location.

We did have a problem, with one of their competitors, as far as missing items from the luggage. Two thirds of my clothing was gone......This was about 10 years ago and the shipment was the US to Hong Kong. We then started using Luggage Free and never looked back. We use them for all of our trips out of the country, and feel it well worth the price not have to lug bags around.

  5. TC, We are former Regent customers, and left when the tours became included. We sailed in named suites then, as we do now on Oceania and love Oceania. I believe if you pay more you should get more, but it doesn't have to be in everyones face. It is the same thing as flying business class, they board earlier than coach.

Mariners, I read yesterday that those in the top suites on Crystal are given gold cards when their id is checked upon entering the cruise terminal and they are first to be escorted on to the ship. Only repeating what I read yesterday.

  6. We stayed in 12007 in 2015 and it was fine, just like all the other Oceania Suites on deck 12. It is very quiet and we feel private on this deck. We use the suites'out side deck a lot and love the nice peaceful feeling. You will not see a lot of people walking in the hallway because there are no laundry facilities or reason for anyone not staying on this deck to walk around. I also think the glass entry doors help to keep people out.
