  1. We are going on the Grand Australia and are considering buying a 24 bottle wine package. We have several questions that are not covered in the FAQ. Is there any difference in cost buying online now or waiting until we board? Can we take a bottle to our room? Do you have to select all your wines at once or can you select as you go along? ( I would never buy a case of wine I have never tried) If you do have to select all at once, can you change for different bottles if you dislike the ones you chose? We have always taken our own wine and paid corkage to ensure we get wine we enjoy. With the change in rules and much longer cruise that will not work. Thanks

  2. When will the rest of the 2025 schedule come out?  After our cruise on Oceania in Dec we have decided to use them for Norway & Iceland. They have the perfect cruise this year, but we are already planned through 2024.

  3. We are going to the Galapagos in April.  We made our plane reservations through Flights by Celebrity a month or so ago.  The prices have recently dropped by a couple of hundred dollars a ticket.  With the lowest price guarantee will Celebrity automatically drop the price or do I need to call them?  I would call to ask the question but last time I was on the phone over an hour.

  4. We are both 66 and covered by Medicare and Tricare for life. Do we need any additional medical coverage other than medical evacuation? Posted this on Steve Davos Q&A November, but I don't think it is still active.

  5. We are also currently on Marina. Our wifi works great. We booked this cruise to see if we would like Oceania. To be honest we are not convinced yet. The speciality restaurants are OUTSTANDING! The MDR and Terrece are lacking. This is also an older demographic than we expected. Love a lot of the little things (cokes in room, library, coffee shop, etc) ,but the lack of menu options is a concern for longer cruises. Also the shows are better than expected and we like the more casual atmosphere and absence of a snobby class system some other lines have.

  6. We are going on the Grand Australian Cruise in 2024. We are looking at taking our truck and camper and leaving it in San Diego while we are gone. Has anyone else left their RV there while on a cruise. Normally we would use the military storage, but they no longer allow reservations.

  7. There where a couple of good articles yesterday related to the filing. They discuss the large increase in cancellations for the 1st & 2nd qtr and damping demand for 3rd & 4th. It was interesting that one article listed fear of covid and the other the hassle factor (testing & masks) as the main reason. But, both do not believe CCL will achieve profitability this year.

  8. We where looking at a October 2022 cruise from Lisbon to Miami that looks awesome. Since we are pretty much planned out until May of 2023, we thought this would work for October of 2023. Looking today it appears this cruise is not repeated in 2023. The ones that are coming back then are not that interesting.  Which leads to the question. How does Oceania do their schedule? Do they repeat some cruises every year and others on a 2-3 year cycle? Is every year different?

  9. We had our one and only cruise on Koningsdam in 2016. It is the only HAL ship we dislike. Our two biggest complaints where the promenade deck ( or lack of ) and the long 20-30 minutes wait for the MDR EVERY night. Our favorite cabin on HAL is a Lani with the associated deck chairs. Koningsdam does not even have deck chairs. The MDR appears to be sized to drive guests to the specialty restaurants. With the sell of Prinsendam  and then four more of their smaller ships last year (our favorite Rotterdam) we are reassessing our future cruises with HAL.

  10. I guess I worded the question wrong. What I want to know is if we can bring a 1.75L plastic bottle of premixed spirits onboard. We have cruised with HAL the last few years and they allow no plastic bottles. As of their latest change , they now only allow 12 canned sodas and canned water.

Now, as for a Margarita. I agree with Reposado, but V&H and I prefer a frozen not shaken Margarita with Grand Marnier🍹.

  11. This will be our first cruise on Oceania.  We are curious about whether Jose Cuervo Margarita in a plastic bottle is allowed to be brought on board.  Margaritas are our favorite drink and on other ships we have been less than impressed. The premixed Jose isn't great, but it is better than what we've gotten previously and would be really good on the balcony.
