  1. We book with NCL and get travel insurance within the first 14 days for preexixting conditions through a TA. We can adjust , change cruises, or cancel. I've had to cancel before and got 100% return quickly - just lost the amount of the insurance. It's worth it. I thought with NCL you only get something like 70% back or a credit for a future cruise.

We booked for 2014 recently on the Breakaway - anything could happen between now and then. I recommend Travel Guard. as recommeded to me by several TA's

In addition out of curiosity, we compared prices. For our 12 day cruise - NCL quoted us around $419. Travel Guard was $403 for the amount we spent and our ages and we have plenty left to add on our flight and hotel at a later date. It is based on age and amount spent and we are not youngsters. If we go up to the next tier when we add on flight and hotel - it won't be that much. The cancel for any reason with Travel Guard added on an additional $150. If we have to cancel it will be for a covered reason. We know we are going somewhere in the next year or so unless something happens and that would be covered..

  2. I just got an email from Mike,He gave me the price as 60.00 for the station wagon which will hold 4 average adults or 180.00 for a van holding 8 adults. He said Gerry would have to rent the van thats why the increase in price. He did send links to places we might like to go to.

As soon as we talk to our friends we will probably book with Gerry.

That's strange - he quoted us $80 for the station wagon. What time of the year are you going? Is the demand higher in February or something? This is the first I've heard of a $60 quote.

  3. The best day of our cruise in July was spent with Gerry. He is great !!!

That is great news - we just e-mailed Gerry/Mike and are booked with him for our Feb. cruise. I just asked to tour the East side of the island with a couple of cocktail stops (Coconuts specifically) and maybe a little shopping along with some photo ops. Does that sound good or would you recommend something more? We wanted to stick to the 3 hour tour so we have time to walk around town. I'm not sure how long it takes to go around the Island.
