1. hello Everyone!!!!

Who is going on this cruise to beautiful Bermuda?

this will be my second visit to Bermuda on the Pride, I look forward to chatting with everyone on here, only a year to go, well a little under a year;);).

i look forward to meeting new cruise friends, or sailing with friends i have already met.

Enjoy your day,

Cheryl Lynch

2. Thanks for the great review. Our son is part of the entertainment staff on the Liberty and had a great first trip north. I'm going to send him a link to your review so he can get some tips for future cruises to Canada before they reposition to Galveston in November. Looking forward to the rest...l

That is so cool, that your son works on the ship! I am sailing in 15 days...yyyeeesssss...what does he do, what kind of entertainment? Does he enjoy living on the ship? where is he from?

3. Sounds like a smartie! You will love them.

You are going to get off the ship at India and Commercial Rte 1A. For us we turned headed left down Commercial until Pearl Street to avoid the tourists. Most passengers stayed on Commercial. We turned right on Pearl and walked one block up to Fore Street. We then turned left on Fore and walked until Exchange Street. It is on the right up the hill on Exchange Street. It was about 10 minute walk at most. We had to wait about 10-15 min in the line.

Wonderful Review!!! We are on the same cruise as Lynn and we also want to try the donuts, and check out some bookstores! Did the ship port right next to a fishing pier and ferry area? We are on the Sept. 24th cruise also. Soon we get to experience this! Our first stop is Portland, no St. John, and Boston is our last stop, where we are headed to the aquarium! Thanks for the directions to the donut shop!

Looking forward to more of the review!

4. My wife had that same feeling you have described and the DR. recommended a brain MRI and we thought it was vertigo but he insisted so the end results was that she had had a mild stroke and now the dizziness has disappeared but she has to see a specialist.

Sending prayers for your wife! I hope she will feel better soon ☺

5. Received this from RCL. May be helpful for those planning Liberty Canada/New England cruises.

6. We had a hump balcony on a TA a few years ago on Liberty. The size of the room in front of the curtain was the same as other balconies, but in our cabin there was a wedge shaped area between the curtain and the sliding door. It was a great place to put DH's transport chair. We liked the balcony because of the location - very close to the elevators and we were located on the part of the hump that had forward facing views. We enjoyed the cabin and would book one again.

Do you remember the cabin number? We are in 7648, coming up on the Liberty in six weeks.

7. As I mentioned before, the embarkation meal at the Windjammer was busy, hectic, and confusing. Frankly, I have no idea what I ate or what was served. I do remember seeing some kind of fried chicken at the Windjammer several times. I also think I remember seeing honey stung on the room service menu.

I know the first day is so hectic, but so Exciting! Thank you for everything you Shared! Did you happen to take a pic of the room service menu? We love room service 😁

8. Hello! Going to try and do my first review of a cruise and will do my best to upload as many pics as I can during the actual cruise.

Just at the airport now getting ready to leave for Baltimore from Toronto. Family of 4 with myself 42, DW-40, DS-14 and DD-10.

We are spending a day in Washington DC on Saturday before the cruise and I will post about that as well.

I hope your enjoy my review!

Dave

Hi Dave What airline did you use from TO. to Baltimore and what were the fares like. We are doing the Pride repo next Mar 2015 and we are not sure we will drive to Baltimore or fly.

Thanks and have fun- Cathy:)

Just FYI, the repositioning cruise leaves from Tampa, Fl and ends in Baltimore.

9. We are on the 2014 Thanksgiving Cruise - hope you join us :)

I will be sure to let you know, we have until Thursday to decide!!! It is sooooo tempting!!! We are doing a b2b on the pride end of august, the school gives us a hard time when our son goes on cruises during the school year, that is all that is holding me back from booking! We always tell the school he learns more on a cruise......this past fall we took two cruises so he missed ten days of school, we did the pride in sept, and the ten day thanksgiving cruise!

10. They say that Carnival does have the largest cabin sizes of any of the cruise lines, maybe they are right.

We were on Royal Caribbean recently, and the Carnival cabins are bigger, even the balcony is a little larger, plus it is nice that on Carnival our suitcases fit under the bed,not so on Royal. and I like that the bed is next to the balcony door, on royal the sofa was by the balcony, couldn't,t see the ocean as well during the night, but do like the sliding door on royal better for the balcony! Next carnival cruise we are on a vista suite, the view should be great from that cabin.

11. No splash pool but one half of the main pool is kid friendly ish. There is a railing that goes across the middle and one half is like 4-5ft deep and the other side is like 1 ft. So it is like a kid pool on one side.

Just a question is Rose your Mom, I might have met her on the Grandeur? If not, sorry for asking...

12.
Just off the Grandeur this morning, and when we boarded on the 6th, went up to the Windjamer as usual and there was None of the beloved Honey Fried Chicken.

I asked the Sous Chef in the windjammer and he said it was a corporate decision and it is fleet wide!:eek:

I guess it took effect 12/1. Anyone cruised since 12/1 (Embarkation day Dec 1 or after) and seen it??
We were on for the 11/26 sailing, we did have it on boarding day but never again, it was on room service menu, but when asked it was not available. No chocolate milk, which was disappointing, when I asked the head chef why, he said because it makes you fat, like none of the other food does, seriously?? no donuts either.
We disembarked on the 6th of Dec.
13. Just off the Grandeur, from a Thanksgiving cruise, TV choices were horrible, spent a whole day in the cabin due to being in a. Nor'Easter and dh was very seasick, plus it wasn't safe to walk around, I was so tired of all the RCL advertisements! More TV channels please!!!!

Are you allowed to bring a DVD player along? Next RCL cruise we may consider that!
14. Here are a few pics from this morning. . .

15. The Pride repositioning cruise next Nov (the 30th I think) has a great itinerary, but requires more vacation days than we have :). We are the same - there are just the three of us, so we end up doing nothing special for Thanksgiving. So this is perfect getaway, and surprisingly, relatively affordable for a holiday cruise. :)

Keep your eye out throughout the year, for price drops, we booked last October for our Thanksgiving cruise(nov. 2013) and by watching the prices, we saved 1600.00, till it was all said and done, but we are doing a 10 day compared to an 8 day, but just some advice! Watch the website!
