  1. What types of prices are people getting on the $300 MNVV deposits when they sell them? Are you getting just the initial $300 back, or some sort of value for the $600 OBC and $300 discount that the deposits provide?

I have a credit that expires in Jan 2025. I am taking a VV cruise before then but was unable to use it because the credit cannot be applied to a First Mate private rate (which was hundreds of dollars lower than what I could get with MNVV).

  2. We were assigned E723 as part of a mini suite guarantee.

A few comments on the room:

-You could not hear anything from the Vista Lounge in the room. Even though our sailing was completely sold out, the lounge was relatively quiet most nights, with most of the late-night crowds gathering in the Piazza or Princess Live.

-We could not smell any smoke from the smoking area below.

-The balcony was fully exposed. It was a bit hot during the day, but really wasn't much of a problem for us.

-You could feel some vibrations from the engines, particularly in choppier seas and when the thrusters were on. It took a couple of nights to get used to the feeling but ultimately wasn't that big of a problem.

-The location was ideal for getting to any activities in the aft of the ship. The aft elevators were rarely used so it was easy to get to the buffet as well as the Amalfi dining room. It was also nice that Princess Live Cafe was just 1 deck down. We would stop there for coffee every morning (no lines vs. International Cafe), as well as for a regular supply of water bottles

-The biggest surprise for us was that the mini-suite was a little bit smaller than what we were expecting. The area with the bed was a normal size, but the sitting area was about a foot narrower than the rest of the room. There were also a couple of columns that shrank the size of the sitting area. When compared with my in-laws' room on deck 16, we did not have a nightstand next to the couch and the extra shelving by the desk was also missing. My parents were in E719 and had a similar configuration to ours. Overall this wasn't a deal-breaker, but something to consider.

    I hope this helps!

  3. Currently in the Mediterranean and the heat has been very intense (even for us Floridians). I highly recommend bringing a personal fan and a hat. Temperatures have hovered close to - or exceeded - 100 degrees. Still, it’s worth venturing out to explore the incredible ports

  4. Currently on the Enchanted. Still water comes from local ports (e.g., Greek bottled water in Greece) and is given out freely. We regularly ask for 4 bottles at a time.

Our whole table orders Pellegrino and/or Perrier at dinner, but it is served in smaller bottles.

  5. What hacks do people have to maximize the value of the Plus beverage package? For example, I noticed that several cocktails (priced at $10) list the type of spirit rather than a brand (e.g., a Mango Margarita comes with “tequila, orange liqueur, mango nectar, margarita mix, and orange juice”). Are you able to specify that the cocktail be made with Patron and Grand Marnier instead and still stay within the confines of the Plus package?

  6. Is it possible to request no upselling (or conversation) before a treatment starts? There is nothing more frustrating than coming out of a massage and having to turn down a sales offer. I once complained to guest services about the hard sell following a massage (on HAL) and received an angry phone call from the spa manager telling me that my complaint was unacceptable…

  7. We’ve been assigned a mini-suite near the aft starboard of Enchanted - on deck 8 (Emerald). Given that it’s above the Vista Lounge and near the smoking area, we are considering bidding for an upgrade to a forward-facing reserve class mini-suite.

Would moving toward a forward-facing mini suite actually be an upgrade? The balcony is huge (which we like) but the cabin size is potentially a lot smaller (per the minimum size guidelines on the bidding tool). Is there anything we should keep in mind?

  8. How good is the AC on Enchanted (and other Royal-class ships)? We like to sleep below 70 degrees, but know that the cabin’s AC will be working hard to combat the extremely high temperatures in the Mediterranean this summer.

We recently sailed on VV and had to keep curtains closed to cool the cabin, and Celebrity Summit’s AC was also very slow to cool, so wondering what to expect this summer.

  9. We're considering booking an aft mini suite (category ME, deck 8 - somewhere between E715 and E725) on Enchanted. A few questions for anyone who has stayed there, on either Enchanted or a different Royal class ship:

    1) Do you hear the noise/feel the bass from the Vista Lounge at night? When does it stop?

    2) Does smoke from the smoking area below come up onto the balcony when in port? Is it a problem when you're moving?

    3) Is there any protection from the elements on the balcony, or is it fully exposed?

    4) Are there significant vibrations from the engines?

For those that really like these cabins - any reason why?

  10. What is the standard practice around tipping for room service when you have the Plus or Premier packages? Are room service gratuities included in the daily amount that the package covers? We have a lot of early mornings on our upcoming cruise so will probably be utilizing room service for breakfast most days.

If not included, should you tip in USD, Euros, or some other currency?

  11. We are sailing in an Enchanted mini-suite soon and requested that our beds be configured as a queen. Given that a queen is essentially 2 twins pushed together, will the bed be closer in size to a king, or is it truly a queen?

On X and Virgin, the queen configurations are a bit bigger than a standard US queen, which makes them more comfortable than a typical land-based queen.
