I save my points till I get to 60,000 then I use them to get a balcony room for the price of an inside. I saved a bit over $1500 doing it that way instead of a $600 credit.
I was wondering if anyone has the NCL credit card and how does it work? I was not able to find any info on the ncl websitw.maybe just don't know where to look...lol.Sent from my SM-G903F using Forums mobile app

This morning the new transpacific appeared to Platinum members. I was ready and at 8 AM I was trying to get the cabin I wanted from Vancouver to Papeete. Nope....nothing near what I wanted. How could that be? So, I emailed my PCC and by 9 AM I had my first choice of cabin. Don't know why I couldn't book it on my own. Funny aside: PCC said " I expected you to call today". So, there is value in having a relationship with a PCC.

Depends on the port! We have done b2b and it was just like any other port day. Most days in the middle of cruises, we treat it like any other port: go do a tour and return. Just check your cabin card and verify it expires at end of 2nd cruise.

Last October we did the transatlantic in October. The sea days went by quickly. We did have tons of books on our readers. The weather was great, the seas were calm and maybe an hour of rain the entire trip. While I do love stopping and exploring, we enjoyed the cruise enough to sign up to do it again this year.

We stayed right above the theater last year. During the day you can hear the rehearsing and you will know when the shows are going on. That said, I'd take the room again as the noise was just not that bad. I've had worse noise from people next door.

This was easier to accomplish than I expected. However, you will be on the phone for awhile. I simply called NCL and requested a call back. The PCC called me back and then booked the cruise for an inside room then transferred me to World Points to upgrade to the balcony room I wanted. Saved $1000 in 30 min.

I first chose my cruise destination. Then I chose NCL because of Freestyle and relaxed atmosphere ie. no formal nights. I'll stay with NCL until I want a destination NCL does not do.
-
I remember on my other NCL cruises that they offered a discounted package if you bought 3 speciality dinners. Since the UDP, do they still offer the 3 dinners at a reduced price?

The closest you will find are near the train station. There is an Aldies and a Seven Eleven near there. But, it's still a hike to the ship.
Get your taxi to stop there on the way in.

Ship- Star
Deck: 8/fwd
Category: Unobstructed oceanview
Side: Port
Quiet: The room is over the Stardust Theater. During the day you hear the practice and at night you hear the show. After 10 PM, quiet
-
Ship- Sun
Deck- 7/fwd
Stateroom #- 7007
Side- Starboard
Quiet Room- very quiet

Comments: There were no kids on the cruise (Norweigh and Iceland) so the hallway was quiet. Kid zone is down the hall so an other voyage could be very different.

We have disembarket at Copenhagen each of the last 2 years. The first time, we walked off and immediately caught a cab. We arrived at the airport before the checkin opened for our 12:10 flight. Year 2, we walked off and an NCL agent asked if we'd like to ride their bus. It was cheaper and was leaving at once so we did it. Again, we were in Copenhagen airport before checkin windows opened,.
So, yes, what you want to do is possible. Is it probable? There is much that could delay your presenting yourself at checkin. I think it would be way too stressful to be betting on that early flight.
You could spend a night in Copenhagen and easily make the flight the next day.

The last 2 years, we took cruises out of Copenhagen. We walked off the ship with our luggage and had no issues getting to the airport quickly. The first year, we took a cab. This last year, we hopped on a bus chartered by NCL and got to the airport quickly and cheaply. The trick is to walk off with your luggage.

We used this hotel in 2012 and 2013. It is a pretty easy walk from the subway and easy to share a taxi to the ship. There is an included basic dinner included.
-
Last October, we had that 12:00 flight. We got off the ship with our luggage as soon as announced. I was going to take a taxi but an NCL rep asked if I wanted to go by bus for $30.00 each and it was leaving right away. we hopped on and were at the airport well before the Air Canada desk opened.

Sent my paperwork in last week. Been watching for the $100 to show up. The stock is not a bad investment and the $100 is just nice.

To be honest, I heard the same rumors on the Sun in 2012. But this time it was NCL staff that probably has a good idea.
-
When I was on the Star in October, there were rumors of NCL going back to South America in 2015. There seemed to be lots of interest. Has anybody heard any more on the subject? Seems there are more ships in the fleet now.
-
NCL usually offers you a deal where you book 3 different restaurants and they give you a discount equal to 1 of the 6 meals being free. I always do it. Now, I do it for the discount and not because you need to book the restaurants early.

The decision between the Molli and Schwerin is very difficult. The Molli is such a unique railroad experience. Running down the middle of the streets. Plus, they have the newest, scratch built, steam engines in the world. My current plan is to get off the ship as early as possible, ride bus 119 to Bad Dobern, ride the Molli and then see if I can still get to Schwerin.
Park West art auctions?
in Ask a Cruise Question

For several cruises we kept seeing a print we really liked. I finally went into an "auction" and was told my opening bid would be $1775.00 Oh, heck no. After I got home, I researched the artist and discovered that these prints were commissioned by a charity. Finally managed to locate the charity and now have a framed print direct from the charity for $525.00
