Hi folks. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get the best rum cakes to bring home? I want to bring back home different varities for my family. I'm reading the ones on the ship are not so good.
We will be doing the Western Caribbean next month. Falmouth Jamaica, Cozumel Mexico, Georgetown Grand Cayman
Thanks. :D

WOW, nice post. I am going on my very first cruise in December and will take everyones suggestions, (minus the rum runners, LOL) and hopefully put it to good use. I am new to cruising but have followed CC since we booked over 250 days ago, and I already met a ton of nice people and even got to meet a very nice couple in person, who live about 5 hours away from me. I became pretty active on our roll call and decided to run a slot pull with 40 people signed up so far, and a cabin crawl with over 50 people. Great folks helping me along. Its so exciting and I plan on doing as much as I can possibly to. Tomorrow isn't promised, so make the most of today. Thank You everyone for your wondersul suggestions. :)

When do people start decorating their rooms for Christmas? I am sailing on the 8th of December, is this too early? What are some ideas used for decorating? Do lights have to be battery operated? Thanks for your help.

You made an AMAZING choice for a suite. You did well! For a first cruise, you will now be spoiled for a room in the future. lol You will love the OS. I want one of those every time now! Tell me about it when you get back.
Thanks again. Can you tell me if you get any sun on the balcony. Hoping to have sun. I'll do my best with a review when I return. Hoping to take lots of pictures.

I love them both and just got back from an aft corner JS that was a magnificent, relaxing experience. The size and price for the room are your personal choice, but you did ask for personal input here. I feel nothing beats that Owner's Suite for the suite experience. There is so much room and choice and comfort. There is quite a difference in the floor space and furniture choice from the JS to the OS. I did an OS last summer for the first time and wow, I loved it. I had done GS before, but never OS. It was luxurious and I noted much more individualized care from everyone - very well-treated. Another thing that I believe is true: If you enjoy eating on the balcony, the OS gets to order from the full main dining room menu as room service - the JS we just had only allowed us to order from the regular ship-wide room service menu. We had two amaxing dining room quality meals on our balcony when in the Owner's Suite. Good luck choosing. I will share some OS pics below - these are from Freedom OS.
Wow, thanks for posting the pics. My friend and I will be staying in room 1648 OS. It's a first time cruise for both of us and we have heard such great things about everything. I can't wait to go. :)

Can anyone tell me about owners suite 1648 on Freedom of the Seas. We had pretty slim pickings. Most of them are connecting and I read that can be annoying. Thanks

I received an email which says what table we will be seated at. Can anyone tell me where abouts table 498 is on Freedom of the Seas? The email is very hard to tell. Hoping it is not by a window. 1st time cruisers with fear of sea sickness. Thank you for any help.
