  1. Carnival offers this without the bobsled. It is called Sky Explorer and costs $39.99. You can pay an additional fee when you arrive if you want to ride the bobsled or zipline. The pool and slide are included. You can use all of the facilities.

  2. I have done three and four adults in an inside several times. You just have to be courteous and don't pack too much.

The pull down beds have a weight limit of 250 lbs.

The couch is just as comfy as the beds.

It does depend on which ship you are on, the old ones have trundle beds with awful mattresses (ask the steward for a mattress from an unused bunk if you get one of these).

The best option would be a porthole, but if they are all sold out, try an OV that has a couch and twin beds, so that only one person has a drop down.

We always asked the steward to put the bunks up during the day to allow for more room.

  3. My wife and I are both platinum. We are cruising with a group (total 22 including us). Some past guest some first timers. If we all meet up at the terminal (New Orleans) at the same time. Will everyone in the group get to priority board (skip the line) with us?

No, only those booked in your cabin.

  4. Honestly we ran late so much on that cruise, but I think we finally got off the ship about 10-10:15. His taxis were ready and waiting for us. We left the Baths (our last stop) at around 3:30 and got back to port in plenty of time to shop before boarding the ship.

  5. I did the Patouche tour on my Nov 8 cruise. It was one of the best tours I have ever done. It ranks in the top three. We went on a large catamaran. Our ship was late getting into port, but we still had a great trip. We snorkeled and then went to Cooper's Island for a fantastic lunch. After that, we went to the Baths at Virgin Gorda. The whole trip Capt. Joe pointed out islands and told of us of history and many interesting things about the area. We swam ashore to the Baths (if you don't swim, they will take you in a dingy). We toured to Baths, which was amazing and then swam back along the rocks while snorkeling. We sailed back to port. This was by far the best excursion out of our five ports on this cruise.

  6. I usually love every excursion I do; however, I cannot recommend Seavis to anyone. We went the first week in Nov. and Seavis had three or four boats. They were packed like sardines. Boarding the boat is easy, but once people sit down, you can't get past them in the aisle. We barely saw the magroves and the beach was nothing special. Snorkeling was not good. So many boats beaching stirred up so much sand that you could hardly see. I swam further out to an old dock and saw maybe six fish total. It was rough and I was fine, but some people were struggling. I do have to say that the food was very good and plentiful. When we went to see the star fish garden, there was one star fish. One. I will not do this tour again. I was not impressed.

  7. We're planning to take the night-time boardwalk tour at Laguna Grande at Cabesas de San Juan Nature Preserve near Fajardo. I chose this tour because I have 2 small children and was not interested in taking them in a kayak  They advertise that it is very accessible. It's also very reasonably priced, at about $23.50pp. We will be there on Oct 5 with some family members and can report back.

However... I managed to buy 2 too many tix (turns out my kids don't need tix) and they aren't refundable. So if someone is interested in this bio-bay tour, I can change the date and name on the 2 extra tix for you. Please PM me if interested... :D (hope this doesn't violate CC policies!)

I would be willing to buy these from you if I can use them in November. How do you get to this place? Are you taking a taxi?

  8. Thank you for the code! I think I got the booking for half off. I do not cruise until April, but I have been scouring sites for transportation, and nothing compares just from the airport to the hotel. Now I can pick up the water I like to take on a cruise as well as go to Cocoa Beach the day before the cruise and not worry about transportation.

  9. Yes we have! And we are re-booked into the same room(s) this next cruise in October! We had both 11267 and 11271......nice rooms, great locations!

We used the exit that is to the left as you leave your cabin and ot takes you right out onto the deck/lido areas BUT we had absolutely no noise from Lido or other areas, except the door slamming, loud neighbors in hallway, etc.\

I also can get motion sick but I had absolutely no issues being that high on ship. If you have children in camp carnival it was a quick 5 minute "commute" from room to play area, too.

Glad to hear this!! We could not decide which end of the hall would be the best. We picked a room right in the middle. :) We are looking forward to spa cabins!
