I don't know of a website that has that data, but if you contact the cruise lines and tell them what cruises you were on, they should be able to supply that data.

That's my next step, just didn't know if there was historical cruise data system somewhere. Thanks'.

  2. Does anyone know of a website that I can use to find out past ship itineraries? I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to find anything. I'd like to get details from all my past cruises dating back to 2009.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  3. It's been over 3 years since I've logged onto cruise critic. The question I have for everyone is. I used to have a link in my signature that tracked all my past cruises and ports, and I can't seem to remember the website address or even the name of page that kept that info. Does anyone remember the site info? or did it go away and is no longer available?

    Any help would be great!

Thanks for the info! $15 a drink will definitely pay for anything I typically drink :)

  5. Just booked the Magic for Aug 27th 2016 out of Port Canaveral with ports of Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk.

It will be my wife and I and our 4 boys 17,13,9 and 5 in two side by side balcony's.

I am looking for some help to make this the best vacation ever as it's not often we can take a full family vacation (hard traveling as 6 having to get two state rooms and all).

Any help with excursion recommendations at the various ports, We love the beach and sailing.

    1. Will the kids actually have fun in the kids camp areas

    2. Are the pools over crowded

    3. The Casino really that smoky

    4. Bottomless Bubbles worth it? Should I get for everyone or can we share?

    5. Prepay the gratuities?

    6. Long lines for food / waterpark?

Love to hear any tips or tricks!!

    Thank you in advance

    The Halls

I can speak a couple of these questions:

    2. The pools didn't seem over crowded to me, we spent the majority of our time laying around the back pool area.

    3. The smoke in the casino was pretty standard, they have a non smoking area that helps out a little bit.

    5. We always prepay gratuities at the standard cruise rates, but I do bring cash to tip the room stewards / house keeping staff extra. Their the hardest working least paid people in my opinion and if they do a good job, I'll give them $50 to $100 dollars depending on service. I've never had bad room service.

    6. Lines can be long during peak time for buffet and food items, but they can easily be avoided. No long lines at the waterpark areas.

    Mike

  6. We've done both and actually now prefer anytime dining. It gives us the freedom and flexibility to show up when we want, or skip it to do something else. The only down side to this is you have to wait a little longer to get a table and you don't get to see the same people at your table like you do with assigned times. You also get different servers but you can request to sit in a certain area.

  7. I like both for different reasons. I like the older ships because there smaller and less people are on them. The thing I don't like about the small ships is the old chessy decor and not having all the specialized places the new ships have.

The new ships are nice because the variety of restaurants and bars, and the more modern decor. I also like the larger swimming pools and sundeck areas.

I'd like to trip one of these mega ships, like allure of the seas or oasis of the seas. It would be fun to experience something that size one day.

  8. The ship is awesome! We loved spending time in the red frog pub and eating there appetizers. The ship is big and it took me a little time to get my mental map setup. We always stay in interior rooms since we don't spend much time in our room.

  9. You're only as old as you feel. I've known 40 year olds who acted like they were 70 and I know 70 year olds who act like they're 40.

I would hope a 30 year old would find an oldie like me interesting. What they read about in books, we experienced. And life experience can be both interesting and educational. Who can forget what it was like the day WWII ended? (Yes, I really do.) The Cuban missile crisis? The day Kennedy was shot? When the American hostages were released by Iran?

    Pam,

I personally enjoy these stories, and miss the people who are no longer around to tell them. The down side to that is the same story often gets told over and over again!

  10. Honestly, they are spot on with their assessment.

Does a 30 year old want to hear about what life was like before the polio vaccine and how 4 of someone's siblings were in an iron lung?

Listen to folks talk fondly of how frugal they (and their parents) are by keeping money in the mattress and not a bank as they still don't trust banks after the collapse in '29?

Play table tennis with someone who they can beat holding the paddle in their weak hand?

    No.

As we age, we take our age with us and don't see ourselves as old but the world doesn't afford us that luxury.

    Really.

    quite true!
