This very often discussed on the Fashion and Beauty Board.
Many use a variety of ways to pack, even for the same trip.
Most will make several bundles, depending on activity or lodging. ie one bundle for pre cruise and another for the cruise itself.
For more info see onebag.com
I was surprised not to see a packing board, so I'll check that one out. Thanks!

Have you ever tried this packing technique? Did it work?

Thanks for all the info--one week til ours!

In case anyone else needs to know this: you can download a .pdf brochure from the Royal Caribbean webside, that will indicate start times.
Both of our RCCL excursions had their times changed very recently for the 6/22 sailing. A PDF brochure might not have the most current info.

My answer is it depends are you driving or flying out of the port. If driving self disembark. If your flying and your flight is late in the day, why hurry to get their and wait?
I'm torn--we're flying, but we have a 9PM flight and want to stand by for an earlier one. :-/

Do y'all recommend self-carry disembarking or traditional?

For those who've been on Navigator recently, do you recommend self-carry for disembarking or traditional?

The ship should stay on Galveston time.

Can you get decent cell service aboard Navigator while still at the port in Galveston?

Were you able to make lunch reservations for the specialty dining? Thank you!

We're sailing Eastern on June 2, 2013--what's the best night to skip the dining room and do a specialty meal instead? And which is better, Chops or Portofino?
Thanks for indulging our year-long countdown!

It worked like a champ as far as space was concerned! Each of us got basically all our clothes in one regular-sized suitcase!
