  1. We were on the Eclipse April 2016 14 night Caribbean Cruise with this gentleman. Thin build, 50'ish, wore his hair really long. He always carried a bag with his flags and gifts. On all of his Cruises he brings gifts on board with him and gives them to the staff throughout the Cruise. Not just the staff that waits on him. My wife and I talked with for awhile. Can't remember his name. Very personable man and the staff all adored him. Sorry for the hijack, back to the fun posts.

It was Chip Chase.....Celebrity's Santa Claus! He is devoted to Celebrity cruise members and brings them gifts on every cruise. He and his wife Jenny, who live on a ranch in Texas,, cruise eight times a year. He has a loyal following of friends on Facebook. A nicer couple you will never meet.

  2. Hi!

We are sailing on the Constellation for the fifth time on November 28.

Three of our cruises on the Connie were transatlantics, eastbound and westbound, and we loved them all.

There was always lots to do, plus those restful days at sea were delightful.

We always attended the lectures and learned so much.

    Happy sailing,

    Carol Ann and Richard

  3. Hi!

We have sailed on the Costellation five times. including a 14=day cruise where the norovirus had created chaos......we still loved our time on board.

We are booked on her again this fall....a transatlantic cruise that sailson November 4 from Rome.

    You will love her!

    Happy Sailing,

    Carol Ann

  4. Well, you may get your way. I read somewhere on the board that Rich Clesen either got off last cruise, or will be getting off at the end of the current cruise. That's too bad because I was looking forward to having him on the cruise next week. Maybe I'll find out Sunday that they transferred Ken Mills to some other ship.

    P.S. Loved Sue ;)

    Hi!

We loved Sue as well.....the best of the best!

    Cheers,

  5. We dined at the Captain's table on the May 31 cruise. Our host was a staff captain who was a delightful conversationalist. The other times we have dined at the Captain's table, the Captain himself was our host.

All times we enjoyed good food, excellent wines and great company.

By the way, we have never ever been in a suite...the highest being a concierge cabin. Usually, we are in an outside. We are just an ordinary couple..a retired systems analyst and a retired journalist.

    Happy Sailing,

  6. On our last transatlantic cruise on the Constellation, we celebrated our mutual November 25th birthday....born the same day and the same year....and we received three birthday cakes in all....one in the dining room, one delivered to our room, and one to the Capain's table where we were dining that night.

We gave most of the cakes to others....you can have too much of a good thing!

    Cheers,

    Carol Ann

    Hi!

Chandru is without a doubt one of the best and most interesting hosts we have ever met on over 30 cruises.

His friendly and welcoming manner is a great asset for Celebrity.

We just met him on our very recent Pacific Northwest Wine Cruise.

    Happy Sailing,

    Carol Ann
