Do they have taxis available at the shuttle bus parking to take you to the town center of Bruges and back?
If no taxis does the 15- 20 minute walk have benches to rest on.
We’re looking at the “ Bruges on your own”Thank you

How wonderful! I’ll be on that cruise as well celebrating (a little early 😉) our 30th!
Happy Anniversary to you. Hope we get to meet you on board.
We’ll be in Praia di Vitoria Terceira, Azores for our special day.
see you soon🛳 -
My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary on Nieu Amsterdam in 1994.
We had a fun cruise and won many prizes.
We’ve cruised many times with different cruise lines since then.
In May we’ll be celebrating our 50th anniversary on Zuiderdam.Looking forward to a fun transatlantic passage as a seasoned cruiser.

Is Teppanyaki included in one of the choices?

We brought a bottle of Dom Perignon on board to celebrate our anniversary one year. We paid the $15 corsage fee.
Took it to the Le Bistro ahead of time and they served it to us with our meal.

Have a fun and safe trip.
Could you please check and see if the water slides and ropes course are open on port days. Also how scary does the water slide drop look.
Thank you so much

We bring a laundry bag that we keep all of our dirty clothes in. I also bring lysol wipes, lysol spray, and fabreze spray....and wipe down and disinfect every surface, drawer, wall, and freshen the entire room as soon as we have access to the room.
I do the same thing.
Repeat every 2 days and luckily haven't been ill

They also made a tasty cucumber fizz drink.
Elderberry liquor was one of the ingredients.
So good.

Last year we did a B2B. Miami to Rome. Stayed on for the Med cruise.
No packing because we were in the same room. We were able to come and go through the fire door to our cabin anytime during change over day.
Maybe it is a regional reason.
Not having to pack is a perk of a B2B.

magnets are great, after seeing a cruise buddy using them I now take some to at least hang the days Compass on the wall which is very handy.
Usually the Compass I want is hidden somewhere under a mound of stuff.
I make a spreadsheet at home and "put them on my wall" in the cabin with magnets. A separate page for each European port. An empty calendar filled in with port name and times in port. I enjoy research before I leave.
A clothes peg is handy to clip the balcony curtains back.
Lysol spray to use on all surfaces and door knobs before we start the cruise and throughout the trip.

I have been looking at booking a cruise for my 40th birthday, which is May of 2016. Our first cruise together was last year when we went on the Enchantment of the Seas 4 day. We are set to sail NCL Getaway next month.
I have been looking at the 3 major lines and decided on the Independence 5 day on April 18, 2016! I went ahead and booked since the B&J was still open and the price was right.
I am really looking forward to sailing a ship like the Independence. From what I can tell this class of ship has so much to offer... the pools seem great, the ice rink, the promenade all look to be great.
For those that has sailed the Independence or the other freedom class ships what did you like about them? Also has anyone stayed in the B&J sweet?
My husband and I sailed in the Ben and Jerry suite. Can't remember if we were on Liberty or Freedom ( been on both ships). Fun room and it had a good view even with the cow blocking the window. We had some noise at night from the door to the stairway for the crew.
There is a video out there with some good pictures. We enjoyed the free ice cream and only used the concierge room once and were very welcomed but we felt a little like we shouldn't be there since we weren't really in a suite.
Lots of cow motifs and a fun room. You'll enjoy it

Thanks for the heads up. Iceland Air also allows you to stay a night or two in Iceland with no increase in fare
We did this on one of our TA's from Amsterdam. Stayed a few nights in Reykjavik and home to Indiana.
Would do that again.

Fair warning, some have reported noise from a nearby crew access door slamming at all hours.
We had 6305 on Liberty and you are correct. Noise all night from a crew door open and closing. Plus I couldn't resist the free ice cream and had to buy bigger clothes after the cruise.
Fun room

We were on Celebrity Reflection TA B2B for our 40th wedding anniversary and received a bouquet of flowers from our room steward.
Very thoughtful and appreciated.

Just did a b2b TA with eastern med. No discounts but had a nice lunch in the dining room for b2b on turnaround day.
We also got a free bag of laundry.
-
We were on the same TA and had a wonderful cruise. This was our third crossing. Stayed on the ship for B2B with the Med cruise. The second leg of the cruise was just as enjoyable as the first part.
Crew was outstanding and one of our most memorable cruises.
Thank you to all the people on the roll call for your help.

No Celebrity excursions posted yet for our Mediterranean cruise in May.

Thank you so much for the welcome information. We will be doing this trip in May after our Transatlantic cruise.

Didn't have a full length mirror in our cabin on our transatlantic cruise. Liberty of the seas 2012.
Mentioned it on our comment card at the beginning of the cruise. Three different people came to verify that we didn't have one and couldn't believe it. Never did get one.

Really enjoying your review and beautiful pictures. We will be on the same cruise next May as a b2b after our transatlantic cruise.
Very informative and interesting, thank you.

We’ll be on HAL Zuiderdam in May. We booked a different tour when we booked last September. I don’t think this tour was available when we booked. We booked Bruges on your own February 10th 2024.
