  1. Has anyone used the Verify App to enter Vaccine information? American Airlines site is recommending it and I have entered information by App is still not displaying info. Verify App is saying that it can save valuable time by having vaccine info in verified app like theirs. I do not see why our cards will not be sufficient

    Leaving on Friday

  2. I am very disappointed with the response I received when I heard RCCL will not be renewing contract with Dreamworks. We sailed on Disney with our grandchildren in 2016 and 2015. In 2017 we sailed on the Allure with our grandchildren ages 5, 5, 3 and 2  and they loved the Dreamworks characters. We booked again for 2019 and when I wrote to express my disappointment RCCL offered no substitution for the Dreamworks characters. There response was your children will still be able to ride on the Carousel and take part in Adventure Ocean (well duh that was there already). What I really thought was ridiculous was there comment that they can do rock climbing and flow rider. Did they not notice that these little ones who loved the Dreamworks characters will be 6, 6, 4 and 3 for the Allure 2019 sailing. We will be going back to Disney next year.

  3. Our group of 10 (including 4 children ages 5, 4, 3 and 2) will be traveling on the Allure of the Seas in July 2018. We are not taking car seats on the plane and will be using bus shuttles from airport to cruise port and will not require car seats there.

The issue is with port excursions. Taxis in Nassau, Mexico and Roatan do not have car seats and do not require them. We will not allow our children to ride in cars without car seats and have heard that even if we did bring car seats with us, most taxis in these countries cannot accommodate US cars seats. Cannot get straight answer from RCCL if the excursions we are interested in use buses that are safe for children to ride in without car seats. How have other cruisers handled this? The Allure is a great ship but would like to go on excursions in some of the ports and have child-safe transportation.

  9. We will be staying in a Fort Lauderdale hotel prior to our Allure of Seas Cruise. Part of our group are my 4 young grandchildren - ages 5, 4, 3 and 2. Parents are not bringing car seats on the plane and we will be taking shuttle bus from airport to hotel (which does not require car seats. Question is "How can we get from hotel to Port Everglades without car seats"

Taxis will not take you w/o car seats and very few Ubers have car seats.

We are still trying to find out from RCCL if excursions that we are interested in are on buses where parents of children are OK with that. Will not use taxis in Mexico without car seats

Have been searching boards to see how others handle issue of excursions without car seats

  10. I will be cruising on Allure July 2018 and we are Diamond Plus. Have not cruised since 2014 on Brillance where we had access to the Suite Lounge as D+ and enjoyed nice appetizers and mixed drinks before dinner.

Will that also be the case on the Allure as I do not see a Diamond Plus Lounge only Diamond. How do they handle the fact that D+ members can order mixed drinks.

Also as Diamond Plus will the exorbitant charge of $7.95 for room service be waived. My two adult children and families are also traveling with us and both have 2 adjoining rooms and always like to get room service for breakfast with their young children. What is policy for adjoining rooms ordering room service. What perks do we get as D+ on the Allure

  11. We have done two Disney cruises with my two adult children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren. The two oldest this year were 4. Unfortunately the two younger ones could not go to the Kid's Club but the two 4 year olds LOVED the video games! We will be on the Allure July 2018 and now the 3 year old and two 5 year olds can go to Aquanauts. I saw pictures of Aquanauts and looked very "babyish" for 5 year olds. I understand that for video games that you have to go to Arcade and pay $1.25 per game. I a concerned that the 5 year olds will not want to go to Aquanauts. On plus side, I have heard that the activities in Aquanauts is more structured than Disney. Does anyone have any experience comparing Disney to Aquanauts.

    Thanks
