We have received this offer twice. We could not take the first one but are going on Splendor January 4th for free or should I say upgraded to a balcony room for $110.00 each for 7 day cruise. and we only gamble in the hundred of dollars over a week long cruise.:o

Not as long as you have the time available and can afford it. If I were retired and wealthy I would go on probably 6 to 8 a year. :D

I have ordered some stuff from the fun shops. Beer, gifts and chocolate strawberries
Has anyone bought stuff and have it delivered the first day? Will it be waiting for me when I board? Or will it be sometime that day? Just wondering as I wanted the strawberries for a nice welcome touch, and a drink for sail away!
Thanks!
Jen
Hello done many times and if not there when we get to the room very shortly afterwards, but there way more than not

:( I had come casino offers under my VIFP offers... first time ever. Sadly, I am out of vacay days... the other offer i have is for premier casino cruise which expire on 10/28. Does anyone know how long after the offers expire that the next round starts? Hoping I am included and it is for next year because then I will have some days to use :D
I feel your pain, I was the same way except had a Royal Caribbean booked with accounted for vacation days, so I cancelled royal and booked the casino offer on the splendor for the same week as the roayl went from 5 to 7days and a balcony for $500.00 less:)

Hello in August of this year I was on the Carnival Elation and thought they said that milestone perks were still in effect. Then when I booked the Splendor a couple of weeks ago the PVP stated they did away with some time back. I believe the PVP was in error but Iam not sure. Does anyone know if the milestone on board credits still apply:confused:

Keep chasing them. I cancelled a cruise on 4 Aug and was promised my refund of £637 within 3 to 4 days. Nearly 5 weeks later and I was still waiting. I was fobbed off with many excuses and it was always ' Sorry, it's been authorised but there's been a problem with transferring to my bank/accounts dept problem/finance cut off dates etc etc etc... I was so angry in the end that I emailed Adam Goldstein direct. Within 4 hours one of his representatives in Florida rang me here in England apologising profusely and assuring me that it would immediately be sorted. She rang again the following day to say the refund had been processed and it was actually back into my credit card the day after.
If your refund doesn't show within the next couple of days don't wait any longer. Go to the top!
Wow that's what they told me almost word for word!

Thank you for the responses and the piece of mind:)

We usually see the refund in 5-10 days. I've read that if you the original credit card used is no longer valid, that will cause problems.
No that's not the problem it was a debit card. They stated that it was paid over 3 installments might have been part of the problem. I don't mind waiting another 3 to 5 just want to make sure I get it back though.:o

Hello I cancelled a 5 night cruise on Explorer of the seas last Wed. Royal Caribbean stated 3 to 5 days on a refund. I called yesterday and they stated there was a problem transferring money to bank and it would be another 3 to 5 days. Has anyone had problems with refund from Royal Caribbean with refund??

I believe I read 4 days but could wrong especially that someone said received with 2 days.

August on Elation got the Tervis Tumblers.

I just today cancelled a 5 night on 1/4/15 on explorer out of Cape Canaveral for a & nt on Carnival Splendor. To be fair it was because of price and room credit, 7 nights over 5 and ocean view to balcony for $300.00 less plus a $100.00 credit.

Just cancelled my 5nt royal carribean and changed to a 7 nt carnival in a balcony with $100.00 credit and saved more than $400.00.:D:D:D:D

I know this is a " one time " Christmas Cruise for the Explorer out of Port Canaveral. It is four days, leaving on 12/23/2014. The only stop is Labadee. Does anyone know what the MDR menu might be for this cruise or is it something that the Chef makes up. I was thinking it would be three of their regular menus and one for Christmas night. I was hoping to find the order prior to cruising so we could make reservations in Portofino's on the night we least like the MDR food.
Were on a 5 night that leaves 1/4/15 so not just one cruise its there for a couple of weeks.

OK - we decided to try out the Paradise but in looking at some pictures in reviews I've read there is this big box looking thing in the corner of the cabin. Someone has said that it is for life jackets.
My question is this - if you have your twin beds put together to make a king, how in the world does the person who sleeps closest to the window (in an OV cabin) get over to their side of the bed? I certainly hope I don't have to crawl over my husband to go the bathroom at 4 in the a.m.
Do they arrange the bed so you can get to the other side?
Just off the Elation and same room set up have to crawl over bed.

Thanks all, Ive never gambled enough to get one just curious what it would take.

Going on Elation in 11 days, does anyone know how many points on the 5 day to get free drinks in the casino.
-
My rule of thumb you only will need half the clothes you think you will need and twice the money:o
-
I actually like it, It gives you a chance to get questions answered you normally would not be able to, plus I like meeting people from other cultures.
Thank You

It is about 7 hours and 30 minutes depending on river traffic and weather.
There are two really good write-ups on what you see as you sail down the Mississippi, one focusing on what you see in the city of New Orleans, and one that follows all the way down the river to the moment that the pilot disembarks in the Gulf.
Sailing down the Mississippi is one of my favorite aspects of New Orleans cruises.
Thank You
Why do you cruise?
