  1. I did this trip last year and used the minibus service from the Visitor Centre on the quayside. It wasn't as cheap as the public bus but still much less than the ship's tours. They left every fifteen minutes from the quayside and gave you ample time for the hike. I remember I needed my waterproof on the way up and back because of the waterfall and I paddled in the glacier at the top. It was a very sunny day!

  2. I wouldn't worry. I was in SP and although I didn't do this particular tour with this particular company, I can tell you that it's a coach trip that doesn't go far and there will almost certainly be unlimited capacity so don't worry about lack of space. There is so much to see there I would take the time to choose when you have all the info.

    Have fun

  3. ahh Ok Olden, Andalense , Trondheim, Lofoten, Alesund, Flam and Bergen

I am on this one too with my mum.

Please could you advise which of these places are suitable for walking around independently? (Not too strenuously!)

Also -what are the must see tours?

I keep reading about a special railway journey but there seem to be two on the excursion lists - one from Andalense and Flam.

It's our first trip to Norway - I am on a budget - but do not want to miss anything!

    Thanks
