  1. Completely agree with you, sailed on the maiden voyage and it was wonderful, food was good, no door issues in central park, cabin spotless everyday, solarium bistro was always clean. There were several skating sessions, several laser tag sessions ... App did its job, was able to book shows, look at the daily activities, didn't need more. Wine list/food issue is not specific to Symphony but to Royal.

Regarding activities, according to the Cruise Director some of the activities (love and marriage/belly flop ...) are not scheduled on the med cruises as they do not appeal to the majority of the passengers that tend to do these cruises (different crowd than in the Caribbean), they will be available when the ship gets to Miami.

Where'sthe like button when you need it :) 👍

  2. We have sailed from Southampton many times and usually try to avoid school holiday because of reports about loads of children, bad behaviour etc. However last year we were on Navigator out of Southampton in Oct half term break, we wanted a short trip and I didn't check the school dates.

I was pleasantly surprised, yes there were children but we did our usual late dinner, chose the solarium etc and didn't find it an issue at all.

    August, May however be different!!!

  3. I tend to do more planning and research on the ports of call than stress about my choice of stateroom, and to be honest more often than not we have had a Gty cabin so have what we are given.

We always tend to spend a little more time in our cabin than we plan, choose late dinner and have an afternoon snooze to recharge before a fun evening.

Balconies are a fabulous place for your early morning coffee or a wind down before bed so enjoy

  4. Hi All

Very excited to be on my first Transatlantic in a few weeks time,

any information on types of evening shows ( am i to expect headline acts or RC crew)

    activities during the day

Weather on a East bound trans in April

Main Dining selection, is it likely to be repetitive on a 15 night cruise.

    Any tips

    Thanks all in advance

  5. We did it without problem on Ovation this year. DH and I both had Select package included in booking, he does not drink alcohol.

We went to one of the drink stations set up to sell packages on embarkation day and asked if his could be downgraded to Royal Replenish.

It was switched straight away without a problem, the Select sticker on the seapass card was covered by a RR sticker and he was able to enjoy speciality coffee, water, cola, virgin cocktails etc. :)
