Wow what a completely different experience you appear to have had than we did. We sailed on Symphony's pre-opening cruise on 31st March and found it incredibly good.
We thought that from beginning to end RC pulled out all the stops to impress. The service, cleanliness, food and wow was probably the best we have experienced on RC.

Fabulous photos, we were on the Symphony March 31st trip out of Barcelona. Had a terrific time
-
I am currently on board and no Sabor there is a Playmakers bar that seves food and a sugarbeach candy shop. Not sure which actually replaced Sabor
-
According to the RCI app there's no cost. It lists the times the venue will be available - seems to be mornings only.
I am currently on board and confirm no cost for laser tag and the times have varied throughout the cruise, some mornings, some afternoons and yesterday if was at 7pm

Well it's our last day on oard the Symphony of the Seas and what a fantastic ship this is. They have certainly pulled out all the stops in terms of service, entertainment and food.
Best service, food and experience in many trips
Anyone booked for future trips, you are in for a treat :)
I will post some pictures when no return home

We have sailed from Southampton many times and usually try to avoid school holiday because of reports about loads of children, bad behaviour etc. However last year we were on Navigator out of Southampton in Oct half term break, we wanted a short trip and I didn't check the school dates.
I was pleasantly surprised, yes there were children but we did our usual late dinner, chose the solarium etc and didn't find it an issue at all.
August, May however be different!!!

I tend to do more planning and research on the ports of call than stress about my choice of stateroom, and to be honest more often than not we have had a Gty cabin so have what we are given.
We always tend to spend a little more time in our cabin than we plan, choose late dinner and have an afternoon snooze to recharge before a fun evening.
Balconies are a fabulous place for your early morning coffee or a wind down before bed so enjoy

I have done a few European RCI cruises from UK and Barcelona and Venice all super and I keep going back. Trying my 1st RCI out of USA next week with Indy Transatlantic I wonder what the differences will be if any
-
I have been on both Anthem and Ovation (maiden voyage) and thought they were beautiful ships had a great time on both and would definitely choose again
-
Thanks Bob, I will check although will be pretty hacked off if 1 coffee doesn't equal 1 punch on your card
-
So if I ask for a cafe latte as it comes nothing extra how many punches am I going to get on my card ? And does it make a difference what size I ask for
Thank you
-
Thanks for this thread, prompted me to look at what was available on my upcoming Transatlantic on Indy. It's available there so will get a card for husband who generally gets 1 a day. Cards are 15 coffees for 30 ponds uk site

At the top of the dining page in your cruise planner there should be a yellow button that says PLAN ALL CRUISE DINING
You can do all of your reservations at once which I think makes it easier.
I didnt spot that and made 15 separate My Time reservations! 15 x 20:30 15 lots of checkouts. Dammit I won't make that mistake again 🙄

I have just got a great deal on the 15 night eastbound Transatlantic on Indy. Booked 50 days out, nice balcony. Total trip including direct BA flights, transfers, hotel night before and gratuities cost me less than an oceanview on a 10 day Canary island cruise last oct
-
Warm (or hot to a Brit) to cool.
Anything above freezing is warm for us britsh :D

Hi All
Very excited to be on my first Transatlantic in a few weeks time,
any information on types of evening shows ( am i to expect headline acts or RC crew)
activities during the day
Weather on a East bound trans in April
Main Dining selection, is it likely to be repetitive on a 15 night cruise.
Any tips
Thanks all in advance

Has anyone ever taken afternoon tea at Reids Palace Hotel in Madeira.
Either as an excursion or arranged yourselves
I am interested in your thoughts on the experience and if you enjoyed it and would recommend.
Thank you

We did it without problem on Ovation this year. DH and I both had Select package included in booking, he does not drink alcohol.
We went to one of the drink stations set up to sell packages on embarkation day and asked if his could be downgraded to Royal Replenish.
It was switched straight away without a problem, the Select sticker on the seapass card was covered by a RR sticker and he was able to enjoy speciality coffee, water, cola, virgin cocktails etc. :)

My thoughts go out to the family and friends of this poor person but why do we feel the need to post and discuss on here.
If this was a member of my family or close friend I would be so upset to know that the sadness was being discussed by a bunch of strangers no matter what your good intentions or morbid fascination may be.

Super thank you every one for your helpful replies 😊
