I use cinnarizine (trade name Stugeron) Don't know if it's available in the US.

I left a sarong behind on Legend of the Seas, which I was very upset about; it was my last birthday present from my mother. Royal Caribbean said they didn't keep any property under a certain value (I think it was £20)

If he decides to wear a hoodie, watch out going into banks or shopping centres- a lot of them won't allow you in with the hood up.

Even if you're perfectly polite, it doesn't stop someone from thinking you're not. Look in the papers at people who get stabbed because someone thought 'he looked at me funny'.

There is a rash called 'Golfers Vasculitis', caused by doing a lot of walking in hot weather. I get it sometimes if I've been walking around a city.
"Go to any multi-day walking event in the summer and you will see a red heat rash on the calves of many walkers. The heat rash often starts above the sock line and makes red patches and splotches up the calf. It usually doesn't itch and is believed to be heat-related, since these same walkers don't get it in cooler weather"

Yes, that's what Hank said in an earlier post.
But in the UK (and I'd guess the rest of Europe & elsewhere in the world) it's the norm. That's how they're packed by the manufacturers and sold in all stores & pharmacies. Haven't seen a bottle of pills in years.
JB :)
I work in a UK hospital pharmacy. Manufacturers blister packs are not the same as hospital. Manufacturers packs are for one drug; Hospitals pack all of a patients drugs for one dose (eg. Monday morning) in one blister. You could have up to eight drugs in together.

See if your doctor will prescribe hyoscine patches.

I believe Santorini is tender only, so I don't know if you'd manage to get ashore.

The ship scanners didn't pick it up, but the airport scanners got me coming and going.

Rather than packing items flat, I roll them before putting them in the bags. They come out almost crease-free.

Every country has pharmacies. In an emergency, if you have the generic name of your medication, it is likely you will be able to get enough to hold you over upon advice from the local pharmacy as to where and how to get a supply.
My DH ran short of his Epilim (anti-convulsant) on a Med. cruise, and the ship's pharmacy called a pharmacy at our next port, to have them ready for him.

Arnica cream or gel is useful-I sprained my ankle on a day-trip to Tangier, but we were visiting a local herbalist, who massaged it with arnica. No swelling at all the next day!

but we went on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. Unpacked our cases and left them in the car; my DH discovered the next day he'd left all his underpants in the case!

Travel sachets/bottles of toiletries.

I bought a pack of mixed sample-sizes for our last cruise;-each one makes a litre.

No, not really. Princess allows unlimited 750ml bottles of wine and Champagne. The first bottle per adult is free to bring on board, and free to be consumed in your cabin. All additional bottles are subject to a $15 per bottle corkage fee at the time of boarding, and once that is paid, the bottles can be consumed anywhere on the ship at no additional cost. The "free bottles" will be subject to the $15 corkage fee at the time of consumption if consumed in a public area such as a dining room or lounge.
How will they know whether the bottle is 'free', or one that you've already paid corkage on?

I am British, so require a passport. The thing is, I don't drive, so don't have a DL.
My passport is therefore my only official identification.

Perhaps she liked your dress, and wanted a photo so she could find one like it!

Oh, no. Those people who followed the schedule and got on the bus before you, and waited for you to board, should ask you (politely, hat in hand), if you would prefer their seat. Are you joking?
I think he's talking about land holidays, where a coach picks up from several different hotels.
Talking of which, has anyone been on a coach where the driver has to go looking for the passengers, because they can't be bothered to be at the pick-up point on time?

We found a watch a few years ago in our stateroom when we unpacked. It was on a shelf above the vanity. And yes, I kept it and I still wear it almost every day.
It might have been special to someone. I'd have taken it to Guest Services, so they could contact the previous occupant and return it to them.

P&O Ventura has an endless pool in the spa area, free to all.

It's not a cruise story, but some years ago we took my sister to Tenerife. I booked her ticket in her married name, and only found out the night before that her (new) passport was in her maiden name. (She was divorced)
Had to ring Gatwick airport in a panic! They said as long as she brought her divorce papers with her it should be OK. And it was.

Just make sure it doesn't have a magnetic clasp-I had to get my card renewed twice, because the magnet kept cancelling it!
