  1. They have in print that you need to be onboard 2 hours before sailing (and I thought I remembered that was the rule on my last cruise with NCL a number of years ago), but just got off the Spirit and it was 30 mins before. We were never on the “naughty list”, but in each port they called a list of names of people who hadn’t returned on time.

  2. I just came back from the July 19th sailing. I agree with the statements about the ship’s condition. I loved going to so many different places. Rhodes was a favorite. We went to Grand Master Palace and then wandered the streets of the old town. Valletta’s historic center was another favorite. I so wish we’d had more time in Chania, Crete. We took the bus in (free Wi-Fi was a perk), walked the harbor and briefly checked out the marketplace. Santorini was the busiest and most stressful.

  3. Of all the places to visit and stay ont eh ship St. Petersberg is not the place to stay on board. If you are going to skip that port, find a cheap cruise instead of one that goes there.

Check out SPB tours. They have small groups of 15 or less. St Petersburg is amazing. Don’t deprive your children and yourselves of a one in a lifetime experience.
