I guess the governor is as well…commuting the sentence of Andy Reid’s kid.We are ALL sick and disgusted about Mike Parson's HORRIBLE decision! Gov. Mike has always been a shady guy though....

Does anyone know who the CD will be for the August 27th Alaska sailing on Spirit? The current schedule just skips right over that time period?

It's enough for the last few years in my opinion.

All great suggestions! Thank you! I feel so much better that we don't really need to pay for high priced excursions.

I've been looking at excursions for months and doing a lot of research, but everything is SO expensive. My husband and I like to walk trails and look for wildlife. Is it possible to do this without paying for high priced guides and excursions? We stop in Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, and Victoria. Help?

I know Costa Maya beaches have a real problem with sargassum year round. Has anyone been there recently, and if so, how was the sargassum on the beach?

Can I check in with the Hub App or can this only be done with a laptop/desktop? I'm on the Hub App now and I don't see anything that says "Check In"?

May I ask how you win at Deal or No Deal? Did you have to sign up to play in the show?

I hope they start doing this on Mardi Gras. I love bringing my highlighter and planning out my day. The APP is just a big downer having to carry my phone around.

Researching cabins for Alaska cruise on Carnival Spirit. We prefer deck 8 only. For those who have been on an Alaska cruise, does it matter whether you have a cabin on the port or starboard side? Also, any preferred cabin on deck 8, or ones to avoid?

I wish I could just wear a frilly black cocktail dress, but I just hate my legs. I always wear a long gown, or chiffon pallazo pants with an elegant top. I LOVE formal night and seeing all the elegant suits on men, and dresses on women. It's also the night when we have all our photos done. Thank you for all your suggestions everyone!

Have you tried Soma? They have a variety of sleepwear...night gowns included and I mentioned Dillard's....they have a big lingerie dept.
I'm looking for an evening gown. Not a nightgown.

Yes, I thought the title was referring to sleepwear as well. As to formal wear, I am not a dress gal so as long as I have dressy slacks and a pretty top? That is my evening attire on formal nights.
To to OP, have you tried Dillard's? They always have a big dress dept....and a full dept of long dresses/formalwear.
Yes, I have looked at Dillards. I'll check them again after Prom season is over.
I guess where I live we don't call pajamas "gowns". Especially "Elegant" ones which was in my title. I would change the title if they would let me edit. LOL

I don’t think there are as many ‘gowns’ around. The only ones I’ve seen are for teens (prom). Maybe try a consignment store?
We just finished a 13 night cruise and there were only a handful of long gowns. Cocktail length was most common.
Hmmm....well, that's sad. Gowns are so lovely. Thank you for the input.

Ladies, where are you ordering or getting your dresses for formal night? I can't find anything I like. I've tried Amazon, Shein, Nordstrom, Dillards, Macy's, etc. HELP!!

Why did you hate Pig & Anchor? I'm thinking this will be my favorite hang out area because I can watch sports. Is the food bad? Bartenders inattentive??? TV's didn't work??

Some helpful tips
magnetic hooks work
nightlights will not plug in
bring a small portable fan
book cooking classes prior to boarding they will be sold out
book an excursion to Monkeyland
see the Love and Marriage show
get bignets at Emerils
try Chibang
tip generously
be kind
I always travel with a fan, but were the cabins warm? Did the air not work well? Also, is there a dual sided mirror in the bathroom to use?

So we had 14410 on Mardi Gras back in January. We absolutely loved it. We got to know our next door neighbors and they came over for a tour out of curiosity. We had my husband and I and our 4 year old twins and we had plenty of space. The bathroom is small, but bigger than the balcony cabin bathrooms. It was manageable. Bathrooms aren’t a dealbreaker for me by any means.
Thank you for your response and the mini movie:)

Paradise beach was fun. Got a massage. It was $60 for 40 minutes. We were quoted $60 for an hour in a email last week so they must have raised the prices? It was very crowded but our server Omar did a great job. Overall a nice day but we all drank too much and got too much sun. We got Guys burger when we got back aboard and took naps. Skipped the dining room’s tonight and hit the casino. Had a Great gambling session! I have been having issues with motion sickness in the middle of the night. First time I have experienced this on a ship. We are on deck 12 forward but not all the way? Going to try a Bonine before bedtime tonight.
You said you were in an Ocean Suite on Deck 12? We are in an Ocean Suite on Deck 15 coming up in September. I was worried about being so high up. How did you like your Ocean Suite? Was the bathroom tiny?

Absolutly felt safe. We were in a taxi bus with several other passengers and our driver was nice. The ride was about 25 minutes.
We are booked for September, but we heard the roads were horrible getting there. I emailed Maya Chan to ask them about that and they said they were repaving the roads. Did you notice new roads?

I wore Chiefs gear every day of my Mardi Gras cruise a few months ago. Even had a Chiefs backpack for excursions! There were a LOT of Chiefs fans on that cruise though.
