  1. Agree with all above.

A late reservation is much better than no reservation. Just read all the angry posts from folks who were shut out and had to eat in the Windjammer.

After boarding you can try using the Royal app to make changes, but we found it much easier to go right to the hostess station outside the restaurants. They are very happy to assist you.

So if I made the late reservation, would it be likely if we can be seated at 7:00 if we showed up then or will that be impossible?

  2. On my cruise planner, it shows that all the times available for dinner are around 9:00 PM. A Royal Caribbean consultant told me that it would be ok not to make reservations as it would be easy to find a table when onboard. This doesn't seem like the case as only late times are available. Should I just book the 9:00 times, so that it is guaranteed that we get a table or should we wait till we are on the ship and try an earlier time?

  3. We were on the Getaway last year and I seem to recall getting tender tickets for our tender ports as soon as we got on the ship, but I can't remember where. Can I do it through iConcierge? Or do I need to go to one of those screens by the elevators?

You can order them via the app or touch screens. However, if you have an excursion booked for the tendered port, you do not need to get tender tickets.

  4. That exact thing happened to me on our last cruise, I made a call to NCL and they got it all straightened out. I think they just "reset" the check in process as I had to start fresh, but once I re-entered the info, everything was correct and stayed that way where prior to calling when I changed one passenger's info, it made the change across all passengers

Did NCL say it mattered if the addresses were the same?

  5. When I check in one passenger, the system seems to automatically insert the address for all other passengers. Is it ok if I leave the addresses as the same even though each passenger has a different address?

  6. I am going solo on the Pacific Coastal cruise on May 1 and I just received my guarantee cabin today. I am 33 days out so I thought this was quite early. I originally booked an ocean view, then prices dropped and I changed to a guarantee ocean view and was refunded $112 by Norwegian. Then prices dropped again so I changed to a guarantee balcony and just found that I have been allocated a BA on deck 10. Very happy.

I also have the UBP and the freebee dinner package along with some OBC. What was also nice was that I didn't have to pay the 200% going solo for this cruise....it was $150%

You didn't have to pay a cancellation fee when the price dropped?

  7. Hi. I booked through a travel agent that is closed for the weekend. We just made final payment last week and now I see that Norwegian is offering an OBC. Will we still be able to get that?

You can't get the onboard credit if you already made the final payment. You would have to cancel and re-book and if your cruise is fairly close, they will charge a cancellation fee, which isn't worth the extra OBC

  8. I have booked a cruise on the getaway and chose the dining package for the "free at sea" promotion. Unfortunately, the 3rd and 4th passengers do not receive this deal. Since we all would like to dine together, is it possible to split the charges across the four of us (to make things fair), even if the first two have the package?
