Currently, Fred (The Astronomy Guy) is on the Celebrity Century 23 day Cruise to Australia.

Before Fred left, he arranged with his CC Roll Call to do some Astronomy Lectures and had OVER 150 CC Members signed up.

Received an email from Fred stating that after 14 days already on the cruise, Celebrity has ONLY allowed him to do 2 lectures so far.

Each group lecture had over 100 people in attendance.

Fred quoted:

"Unfortunately the powers that be (Celebrity), cancelled all the rest... guess they don't want competition to their own advertised entertainers.

I was told I MIGHT get ONE or TWO AT THE MOST more time slots. "

Fred is SO gifted with his knowledge of Astronomy. He wants to share his passion with everyone and SO sad to hear that Celebrity is not working with him during the Cruise.

Recent stats: Constellation TA Miami to Harwich in late April this year: Fare was $819 (balcony/military rate), OBC from TA was $150, shareholder credit was $200. Bottom line was $39.08 pp/per night, excluding taxes and fees.

Positive: I personally have a "Wrist Watch" fetish!! Both my last 2 cruises on Celebrity had a couple of days where they had a sale on watches (2 for $25 or 3 for $30). LOVED THEM!!

Negative: I ran out of my Salon style Hair Spray (which I call Shellac) while on my 1st 15 day cruise.....and found a tiny bottle of the REAL cheap stuff (White Rain) in what they dub the "Convenience Store." I actually paid MORE for that bottle than I did for my expensive brand. Crazy!!

I for one, LOVE to check out our local Second Hand Stores for the Formal Wear attire.

This dress (which I call my "Glitter Dress") I found in one of these stores and ONLY paid $15.00!!!!! :eek:

I receive SO many compliments and I feel SO good knowing that it not only fits well....I saved a bundle!! PLUS it packs very well!
