  1. Did this recently for an upcoming trip and paid $200 less. Also was moved from an oceanview to a balcony, received $200 on board credit and 1 extra specialty dining. Kept all other perks. Was very happy.

  2. Royal Caribbean is not being fair to their customers. We have a cruise in April to Hong Kong and China and we know this will not go ahead but any enquires to Royal get the reply the cruise is going ahead with no changes. We could cancel and get a credit but in order to get our flights, accomodation etc refunded we need the cruise to be cancelled. It will get cancelled but probably at short notice with no time to organise alternatives. The feeling amongst cruisers is that other lines are giving more notice and thereby creating more goodwill.

  3. Hollywood pool (free adults only area) is undercover and protected from winds and most sun. First day it was cold water but then it warmed up. Good size pool and two spas as well.

  4. We have just returned from this trip and found we had plenty of free time after the tours. In the larger cities such as Cologne you could stay in town and come back on a shuttle bus a few hours later. In Cologne we had to be bussed to the centre of town. Each cruise docks at different places.

We arrived in Amsterdam the day before and caught a bus from Central Station to Zaanse Schans so we could have plenty of time to wander and then did the canal tour with Scenic.

  5. On board Sceni Crystal at the moment having switched from Ruby due to blockage of Danube by cargo boat. We are on the bottom floor and had 1 free bag of washing and pressing. The bag is small and you can only fill to the button catch halfway up. We managed to get one pair of men's shorts, 2 polo shirts and a few pairs of undies in it. We wash undies and tops in bathroom sink and hang in shower. Speaking of showers the one on the bottom deck of Crystal is absolutely ridiculously small.

  6. It all comes down to choices. We are doing an Amsterdam to Budapest cruise with Scenic in June and the price difference between aquarium class and verandah was $2000 each. We decided to go cheap cabin and put that extra money towards business class fares as 22 hours actual flying time in economy was too hard now that we are more mature.

  7. We are doing Amsterdam to Budapest June 2018 and have booked and paid for our airfares(including upgrade to business class). We told them what airline we wanted to use and they got back to us with the exact flights we had been looking at. We have been advised of our seat numbers and can see them on our booking on the scenic Australia sight. We used a cruise travel agent.

  8. Itinerary every time. There are too many places in the world to see to keep repeating cruises. We love to cruise so we don't have to keep unpacking each night but the ports are our greatest interest. As most flights for us are between 9 and 23 hours we like to include a bit of land touring and also a cruise. We have sailed on most cruise lines and each has its own plus points.
