I watched a video, it will only go to the one floor. It’s a pretty cool system. You might YouTube it.

The sept 24-oct 1 cruise wasnt like . The elevators stopped on multiple floors after we got on. Most people complained about the elevators.

$0.83 per bottle is still a lot cheaper than theme parks and other entertainment venues.

True but I believe it was $5.95 a month ago on my last cruise. Thats a pretty big hike in price for bottled water.

  3. Sailing this Saturday with my wife and 2 1/2 year old daughter in an Ocean Suite on the Splendor. Since we don't co-sleep with our daughter we can either use the pull out bed or bring an inflatable toddler bed (think a small dingy with a small air mattress inside that keeps her contained). Anyone have pics of the bed pulled out? What size is it? We've thought about asking the room attendant for a few extra towels and rolling them up to put it on one side so that she wont possibly roll out. Anyone have any experience sailing with a youngin' and can chime in? Shes probably too tall for the crib that Carnival can supply. Its our 3rd time on the Splendor in an Ocean Suite, just the first with a toddler.

    Thanks!

  4. The Splendor will get to Long Beach on January 27th. I have plans to visit her as I live in Long Beach and will be in the Aquarium that day.

I haven't been on the Splendor since 2009 but will board on 4/28 for my Birthday trip :)

I plan on seeing her on the 27th too, taking my 2 year old daughter. My wife and I got engaged on the ship in August 2012, then sailed on her out of Miami in 2015 for our 2nd wedding anniversary where she was 10 weeks pregnant. We were lucky enough to book the same ocean suite we had in 2012. We are on the 4/21 sailing for our 5th wedding anniversary and taking the little one with us. Unfortunately for some reason the ocean suite weve had the last two times doesn't allow for 3 people in it, so we are booked in the ocean suite directly across on the other side of the ship. Needless to say we are glad she isn't going to the P&O Line in 2019.

  5. Neither Princess nor the steward will care, but you will if your wife and daughter are in a two person room. You won't have a bed. I just noticed that your daughter is only one. I would request a "pack-n-play" for her so you could use the second bed.

I figured they would mind but asked anyways. Both roms will be in the queen bed configuration with the baby in a pack and play so it should all work out. Thanks.

  6. My father in law booked 2 balcony rooms for an alaskan cruise on the ruby princess. My 1 year old daughter and wife are booked in one balcony and in the adjacent room my father in law and myself are booked. Is it an issue to have me with my wife and child in the one room while my father in law stays in his cabin alone for the duration of the trip even though its booked differently? Does Princess or the steward even care?

    Thanks

  7. Called Carnival to book a specific ocean suite on the Splendor that my wife and I have stayed in before. This time we have a daughter in tow and we were told that that ocean suite isn't set up for 3 passengers, even though it has a couch (which I thought would turn into a bed). They gave us a list of ocean suites that were set up for 3. Isnt that odd to have an ocean suite that can only accommodate 2 passengers? Anyone else run into this problem? Sort of disappointing really....
