We didn't buy anything this cruise (suitcases were too close to weight limits) but we had the experience once that Allan and I were directed to two different lines to check in at one port. We were on a B2B and had purchased wine for the second cruise so we didn't care if they took it because we knew we'd get it back on turn around day.
Anyways, they took my wine and waved Allan through.
So it really is unpredictable and random!
Karen, just curious, did you get your wine for the second leg?

Hi Tom,
Loving your report so far with the great photos. I love the Summit and it is bringing back memories. Looking forward to Bermuda, we have been there a few years ago and we will be back next May.

If one is remaining in the same room for a B2B does one have to get new sea passes etc by leaving the ship or are they pre arranged
Once you leave the ship, the person that is guiding you off will give you your new sea pass before re boarding. Enjoy your b2b, I am sure you will love it.
We will be doing one also this month but we do have the same room so no packing involved.

Hint, we take picture of the port agent info (and the back on board time) with our cell phones and cameras in case we need to have info when in port. Just an FYI in case anybody wants to do same.
That is a great idea. I will do that on my upcoming cruise.

We received the full package - they don't chop any minutes off.
But they did not give any extra free minutes for signing up on the first day the way they used to do.
We did not even come close to using it all.
From years of habit we still follow the same practice as when using any other pay internet service, doing the reading and writing offline.
We remain signed on only long enough to open whichever web pages we want to read, such as Cruise Critic threads (ahem) of course :D, and immediately log out to read them offline.
So even when the system was slow, we did not need to stay connected for long.
Our longest sessions were when we needed to do something interactive such as booking a reservation online or checking in for a flight and printing boarding passes.
Thanks for the quick response, that is exactly what I wanted to know. Our next cruise is Jan 31.

I do have a question for Elite Plus, now that we get 200 free min but I see the package is for 208 min, so how did it work for you, did you buy the 208 min pack to get the free min and did the 208 min become 200 min.
thank you

We are going to be sailing on the Silhouette in 2 weeks. We had planned to stay disconnected for the week, however due to job issues that is not going to be an option. We are looking to purchase a small internet package to just briefly check email daily and were wondering about the cost. Also, as select members (first cruise on Celebrity, but we have transferred status from Royal Caribbean) are there any discounts available? Is there anyone that is recently off a sailing that would have the answer to these questions?
Thank you in advance for your assistance
What we do is to log on, download emails, then log off. Answer all the emails, then log back on to send.Using that method, we were able to stay within the 90 free minutes each that we get on the Elite coupons on a 15 day cruise.
We use this method also, we bring our laptop, log in, download, log off, answer emails and log back on. I also will open a web page ie Cruise Critic and read it off line. I am online about 2-3 min for download and the same for upload, so with the free 90 min each I have enough for a 14 night cruise.
Happy cruising.

Jay, I am enjoying your review. You have done already more cruises that most of us do.
We will be cruising on the Equinox B2B Jan 31 but you are touching some of the same islands.
Just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your kids a Merry Christmas. Hope you are feeling better now.

Andy, thanks for your report and hope you and your Mom have a great cruise.
We will be on the Eclipse on Jan 31 and Feb 10, so looking forward to anything you can add.

As most said......
walking distance, ft Lauderdale and Miami. Miami is prettier to leave out of.
ft Lauderdale does not offer free handicap.
It does if you have a lift in your van.

Does anyone know why they don't sell the packages in advance? It would be just one less thing that a passenger would have to take care of on embarkation day and would reduce the work load for the ship's crew on a hectic day. Seems illogical.
There is usually a sale on the first day if you sign up then. As it has been mentioned it is easy to do to create you username and password.
Good advice Suz,Sorry off topic, glad to see you on the threads again. cheers mic:D
Hi Mic, nice to see you here also. Say hi to Rosie...

Even with packages, the speed at which the wifi runs makes it very very expensive option, basically we paid for package $99 but it took forever for anything to load, so it went super fast, much better to find an internet cafe in port - we did not do this as we had tours and better stuff to do, as would most guests! Its frustrating, but what a good earner for the ship! Example of pricing -
$24.95 for 49 minutes, $49.95 for 90 minutes,
$99.95 fror 208 minutes.
$199.95 for 555 minutes.
If you bring your own laptop, you can download your emails, get offline, write your responses, then get back online to send. This should cost 2-3 minutes only. If you use their computers you are online from the moment you sign in so that takes up minutes must faster.
I bring my own laptop.

Jo and Rob thank you so much for sharing your cruise with all of us, love the videos and photos. We were on the Eclipse last Feb and enjoyed it so much. We will be on the Equinox this coming Jan and Eclipse in Jan 2013. This time we will be going to Qsine for sure. We will have to wait until Jan 2013 but it will be worth it, I am sure.
Your kids are so cute and love their comments on the video.
Thanks again for sharing and looking forward to Rob's how to when you get home.

Sorry, they did not appear to provide that access and are were no spots available for a wheelchair or scooter. . .
There are other tours that you get get from RCI that are accessible. The Explorations staff will have a list of all accessible excursions.
