  1. This is last post for us; I am NOT 'over reacting' I received the information DIRECTLY FROM CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE & it's reliable; SORRY...won't offer any more information from this point forward have a nice cruise

  2. We are sailing on Solstice DEC 04 2015 sailing Australia; this 'controversy' on Sky Suite 1 vs 2 has had a LOT of 'chatter' going on; your statement about the "one day sell off" is SO APPROPROS! I have been with RCCL/Celebrity since they put a ship in the water! WHAT A FARCE & MESS that turned out to be! WE also would have upgraded & not presented the opportunity either! NOT GOOD BUSINESS for the LINE!I agree with 'last cruise on the line' and we ALL have better places to put our dollars, where treatment shall be MUCH better of their LOYAL CUSTOMERS! You speak of the QEII which I have done several time in the Queens Grill & up at LEAST they have MANNERS! & the cabin & company were very impressive to say the least! and I understand that even they have 'lessened' the ties with some more interesting venues/accommodations & itineraries!

  3. GOOD MORNING FROM ARIZONA! We are booked on Solstice on Dec 04 2015; several interesting 'things' have happened on OUR cruise re what you are inquiring about; FIRST: We were given a very wonderful 'Honeymoon Gift' aboard Holland America several years ago; that was the FIRST TIME 'we' experienced this Michaels Club & this 'question' has been posed over & over & over again over the years; "I" have been a member of RCCL since 18 years old (now in early 60') and this was even in contention WAY BACK THEN! However, class of travel then had nothing to do with the 'allowance' into the bar! OK: on this trip sailing Dec 04 2015 there has been a LOT of 'chatter' and I first booked us, we were in highest level concierge; saw some things as one often will and decided to move to SKY SUITE 1 which we did thinking that perhaps MC as stated did NOT delineate that only ONE SUITE CLASS of such & HIGHER had JUST BEEN REMANDED by the President of the Line It's NOT a 'nice' thing they did and a LOT of people were offended & some even cancelled; one day there was a COMPLETE sell off of suites & WE would have upgraded again but NOT AFFORDED the opportunity!! This is possibly our LAST CRUISE ABOARD CELEBRITY due to this 'switch/bait' and other sad incidents as well; since "I" command all our bookings, I make most of the choices but my darling husband was trying to SURPRISE a little more with another upgrade..it's beginning to look MORE & MORE like the QEII (which I have traveled in the highest level of several times) where complete segregation is avaialbe (just like the old days!) getting over it, we have learned so MUCH to appreciate our fellow passengars on this cruise and greatful to them for showing us'the way' to MORE FUN & FELLOWSHIP!! HAPPY SAILINGS!

  4. we have sailed 'aft' over the years and the ONLY/WORST thing was on European cruise & the CLEANERS/PAINTERS were ALL OVER OUR MIDDLE AFT lovely cabin! This was one of the WORST cruises at the time as the ENTIRE SHIP et al was HIT the hardest of all by the NORO VIRUS, laying up over 40% of passengars and over 1/3 were EVACUATED off the ship in FRANCE and after that..cabin balcony was basically wasted due to this circumstance but we are RIGHT BACK ON for Australia/NZ with BELLS ON!

  5. yes you/they do...RCCL & CELEBRITY are combinable but havn't seen new rules lately; am 'original' RCCI and when Celebrity became part of the corporate years ago, we have done BOTH ways; I sailed as a SINGLE on RCCL many times out of California; together my husband and I have sailed on BOTH for different itineraries and Egypt/area was several years ago before the terrible strife/war broke out there; I also sailed the NILE/EGYPT on small venture and THAT was SPECTACULAR! as for Celebrity, sometimes more difficult to get it 'done' but we have stayed the course; just upgraded to SUITE category over weekend and there are STILL plenty of them available to our surprise; we stayed on PENTHOUSE DECK on left side NEXT to the last larger one..S-2-1665 SKY SUITE will be interested to see what we get for the privilege!

  6. good morning from AZ here Elizabeth & Craig we were 'offered' an upgrade to a Sky Suite over the weekend with choices of location; we are now Penthouse Deck left end of aft just to side of next suite up; nice of them after all these years and since anniversary cruise looking forward to 'different' than our usual 'concierge cabin'...makes it a little more charming perhaps for us personally..have all restaurants at our pleasure so still great there as well...go to ship configurations and then there is a 'link'? to see what they look like; there are still a few left in this category hope this helps!

  7. There are several 'different' configurations for these suites; we are booked in one and the configuration of others differs slightly with position suite is in/deck it is on...there IS a configuration that shows the sq ft/configuration etc. on celebrity site we now will be on same DECK/PENTHOUSE but to the far LEFT of the ship next to the larger suite booked yesterday husband's anniversary present :)

  8. Hi Everyone

We're considering an Aqua Class or a Concierge Class, and would appreciate your help.

We haven't experienced Aqua Class before and thought it might be good to try something a little bit different, but we're not 'spa' type people.

We just wondered if the main differences are eating in Blu and the better shower in the bathroom?

If we did choose Aqua Class could we still eat in the main dining room if we wanted to on a couple of occasions?

    Many thanks

BOTH are great; we are on the SOLSTICE and have an aft cabin that is 'eligible' for BOTH in restaurants and you must have a 'pass' to use? so we are now told as opposed to 'open' in the past; reviews are 'mixed' on this as not so good to 'ok' in Aqua; has nothing to do with reservations anywhere else except 'BLU'; also many people just (literally!) wear bathrobes there and it doesn't set well with other passengars...it's NOT exclusively 'reserved' for AQUA CLASS though and is conflictual...this is ALL I have seen on the issue...
