Vicki, I just realized we are kind of neighbors. DH and I are from Sachse!

Good to see port security keeping everyone safe
Could not agree more!!!

It sounds like someone had something not allowed in their bag. Everyone that was on the ship has to get off to get re-screened. All operations were halted - luggage, boarding, everything. We just saw a search dog brought in also.

We leave on her in 10 short (but all too long!) days. I hope you enjoy your trip and would look forward to hearing any other feedback you have!!

Thank you so much for posting!!

Anyone out there have recent copies of the cruise compasses for the 4 night Enchantment itinerary? TIA
-
My parents and other family members are on board with you! I hope that you all have a great sailing and that the waters are smooth for you! :D
-
You should also be able to add the 4th person at a later date, at the same rate you originally booked. We just did this.

You are all wrong....
The tastiest drink?
...is the first one on board!!:p
I could not agree more!!!!! :D
My favorite is the Love Connection, although I've read mixed reviews about whether or not the bartender will actually make it for you anymore. It's Mango, Strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. mmmmmmmmm!!

We're big fans of Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach. It's right across from the beach, and within walking distance of quite a few restaurants, etc. We've stayed several times and have never been disappointed with the decision!

We recently had this same scenario. Last May, we cruised while I was expecting, and we wanted to take advantage of the onboard booking for a future cruise. We asked about this to a few folks, and received a variety of answers, from you can book as "TBD" or add the 4th person later. I tried booking "TBD" online, and I could not, as it required some information to be filled out. I did not desire to put fake information in online.
We ended up booking for 3 ppl, intending that once DD was born that we'd call back and add her to the reservation. After she was born, we did just that, and we had no issues with them adding her on to our reservation, at the price we originally booked at. One of the crew members at the future cruise desk when we originally reserved said this is how it would be handled. The lady we spoke with when we first called said she wasn't sure, as she had never done it. I do believe she had to speak with her supervisor on how to handle it, but there was not a word about it being a the prevailing rate, etc.
Again - just our experience but wanted to share! The cruise we booked in May 2015 is for Nov 2016. Talk about taking forever to get here! Booking so early let us get what we think is a really great deal, though!! :D

Another suggestion- we are fresh off of our first full cruise as Diamond and our favorite place to meet and mingle with others was the private breakfast area offered in the MDR. After discussing the new perks with DH, this was by far our favorite!

Well, I found some in this thread here, in case anyone else out there is looking!!

Anyone out there have cruise compasses for the 5 night Explorer itinerary? We sail in a few weeks and would love to take a sneak peek at what might be going on!! :D
-
Congrats! It seems you're not the only one that got visited today - I've noticed a few other comments as well! I sure wish they could find my reservation... Oh well - it's still vacation and we'll have a blast no matter the room!! have a great trip!

3rd vote for Courtyard. Stayed there twice before, before sailing out. We are staying there for a 3rd time in a few weeks before sailing out on Oasis! :)

The ad about this is no longer showing up on the website... must've been getting a lot of phone calls...

I saw the same ad, received same error as you... I'm very intrigued...

We have had a hard time finding milk sometimes, so would tend to grab a few extra at breakfast to store in the fridge for later that same day. If we were in the WJ at night, though, and asked for some milk (since it was not displayed), we never had an issue getting any.
We've successfully taken juice boxes on with us in the past, and will do so again!

It's happening to me as well... quite annoying...

I would definately get some Euros or be prepared to use your credit card to handle the conversions. The only place that I saw taking dollars and speaking any english was just off the ship in the welcome area. If you crossed the parking lots behind the welcome area towards town, my experience was French and Euros only!?
The store we went to was back in the town. It may have been one of the few stores that accepted USD that we just happened upon. The lady that helped us spoke a little bit of English, enough for us to communicate.

We just did this cruise... We stayed on the ship in Martinique (only got off for a quick peek at town) but one of our fellow cruisers did a tour of a run distillery, I believe. He said it was really great. I'm not sure if his expectations were low, or what. We were on the Jewel, sailed Nov 23. Is recommend checking out our roll call - maybe he can give you more info!!
-
Thanks for sharing!
In Martinique were most items marked with prices? Going to have a down day here as well, but would like to get a little souvenir. We plan on getting some Euros before we leave. Probably in over our heads but it shall be an expereince. :D
We were on this trip too. We only found one souvenir shop (we didn't walk around for long or wonder too far into the city) and they did accept USD. Nothing was marked in USD, though.

Anyone out there have any recent Navigator Cruise Compasses? My parents are sailing over New Years, and I told my mom I'd see if I could find her some to glance at.
Thanks!!

Thanks for posting this, as it's the exact answer I was hoping to find... Do you know if, to redeem the 24 hour "credit" we need to do anything, such as go to the guest services desk, etc, or should it automatically get credited to the account? NBD if you aren't sure, just thought I'd ask!
