Always check cruise prices around Black Friday. We just upgraded from the Classic to Premium package for $6.99 per passenger per day, 53% off the normal $15 price. You also have to add in the 20% gratuity. For the 5 of us on a week cruise, the total upgrade cost just under $300. They are also currently running a 45% off special on both the classic and premium packages. You can get them for $45.99 & $54.99 respectively. Cheers!

I just got the same sale for my May cruise. I never have to have the premium on another two lines I sail but the $10 a drink seems so low so I just did it. Plus with the other things people have mentioned I would rather just be able to get anything I wanted it was only $50 more PP and originally paid the $400 pp for drinks and Wi-Fi so figure its still pretty cheap to not have to worry about what I am ordering. We will find out in May it is my first time on Celebrity going on the Edge.

I know that it says 8 max, but we have a group of 10.  I know not everyone will want to zipline, so do you think they would allow us to add two additional people?

From what I read you have a wrist band and that is how they let you in the area. Maybe if you can switch around the bands and only 8 at a time but I wouldn’t think they would let you have more otherwise they wouldn’t set a limit. I am sure they police it but I won’t be there until September to check it out. Why not reserve 2 so you know you have the space? I reserved one just for the hubby and I thought it was pretty reasonable and splitting between 10 will be real cheap 😄

  3. I just booked this for our Horizon 9/2023 cruise, and the music seems like a fun party day! I looked at the ocean ones but they are so far away from the pool and wouldn’t get in the ocean I am sure! Thanks for the video I know they sell out fast so wanted to get it booked! There are only a few of them right?

According to John Heald it will be released for booking tomorrow and is a 14 day round trip from Baltimore on the Legend in September of 2023 stopping in Newfoundland and St. Anthony Greenland along with a couple stop i couldnt even pronounce let alone spell.  He has been bugging Carnival to redo this cruise since the last time they did it when he was a Cruise Director.  Am going to be up super early to check it out as im thinking of moving my November Hawaii Cruise over to that Cruise.

Right I just got Greenland and Canada out of it and how much fun John H had the last time he did Greenland so he sold me!! Now just hope it doesn’t sell out in 2 minutes 😂😂

  6. I just booked for August 26, 2022 NCL Dawn and I am just starting to research ports. I know so much is uncertain and we may have to stick with cruiseline

excursions but  hoping by next year we can book what we want!! I had must sees at most but what would you say are your favorite things to see at these ports? We are all about the scenery and Castles on this trip!! Hubby doesn't want to go so going with a friend so at least I don't have to worry about him being bored!! Thanks

in advance for any help you can offer!! Michelle 🙂

  7. Anyone out there that can help 🙂 we were originally going to rent a car but our friends might not be coming. Would love an excursion you don't have to drive hours to get too and maybe

see some pretty scenery and get some lunch and people watch? We are going to Paris after for a couple of days, and neither are really history buffs so don't have to do the Normandy stuff. Thanks for any ideas we leave in June!! 🙂

We walked the Gobbins in June 2017. It is not a difficult walk apart from the climb back up at the end, that's not difficult just steep. It is really scenic and something different but I don't know if it's a must see for a first visit. And we didn't see any puffins as their nests were a bit distant. We just turned up and found they were fully booked but we were able to book for a few days later. But you do need to pay in full when you book so be prepared to lose your money if any issues with ship.

Giants Causeway ?? We did find a private tour that isn't too outrageous that will go here and along the Antrim Coast and stops along the way.....I think we might go that route??

Does your ship not go to Edinburgh? When we took our British Isles cruise a couple of years ago, we docked in Greenock. Some people took excursions to Edinburgh for the Tattoo (but that is in August). And then we docked in South Queensferry for Edinburgh a couple of days later.

When our ship docked in Greenock, we opted to take the train to Glasgow. I'm a big fan of Macintosh, so it was great to see his house preserved in the Hunterian Museum. We also went to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Riverside Museum (transportation), and St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art and the cathedral. We took the hop-on/hop-off buses to get around.

Thanks Geoherb! We decided to take the cruise ship bus to Edinburgh and do it on our own, it was what I wanted to see and figure since it is a little drive may as well take a ship excursion so if something happens they will wait for us!! Rather than trying to figure out the train to save just a few dollars!!

I assume that you have read this:

If that's what you want to do, and I can see the attraction, you could always wear the "boats" on the plane. I assume they will provide a helmet, so I would take a silk scarf to wear between head and helmet as you have no idea who wore it previously.

Yes I have read a lot some say strap others say the stairs are not all together so a break in between 😀it looks so cool we might try it I walk a lot hubby not so much and the couple we are traveling with are avid hikers so maybe they can carry us 🤣🤣I am going to be in the hunt for light boots!!

  11. Seeking help from those who wish to help out a 2nd time Europe traveler, but first time in British Isle's. Just some port info, since we probably won't get back to Ireland/Scotland want to make sure we see some beautiful sites!! We are both in our 50's with no restrictions!!

Belfast - Giants Causeway or Gibbon's Hike?? We want to see beautiful countryside, we are traveling with friends who are a do it on your own people where I am a little uncomforatble and like someone to take me to places! I did post on the Gibbon's previously so know I need boats which doesn't help my need to pack a bag under 50 pounds for 18 days in Europe that has a 10 day cruise as part of it, but it does look so picturesque!!

Greenock/Glasgow - Have read nice things about Edenburgh and the ship does have a do it on your own bus that goes there. Which makes me feel more comfortable than doing the train on our own! Is this a top thing to see in this part of the country?

    Holyhead Wales -- ??

Cork -- I did see the Blarney Castle as a huge tourist thing but I don't think I would want to kiss the stone!! Ring of Kerry Tour I heard is wonderful but need something from the Port and I know this is far away.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have!!

Good for you. That’s great. I wish we planned that good. I would of saved some money. I paid for 3 cabins so my adult kids could go too.  It was pretty expensive booking this late.

I am a planner!! The cool thing is even if you end up having to cancel you only lose $50 of your deposit pp and can move the rest to another cruise. That is if you get the restricted deposit which is usually the case if you pay half of a normal deposit! Oh well last minute is fun too, except for the pocket book!! You will have fun with your family on a brand new boat!!

I have been to Mazatlán many times.  Most of the taxis in Mazatlán are golf carts, and there are many of them waiting for cruise ship passengers in need of transportation.

From the ship, the port provides "free" shuttles from shipside to the terminal building.  Mazatlán is a working port, and passengers are NOT allowed to wander -- the shuttle is mandatory.  Once you leave the terminal building (lots of vendors there), you will be inundated with taxi drivers!

Once you get to the Golden Zone, even before you get out of your golf cart, the competing drivers will be asking you if you need a ride!

I was going to Mazatlán before the troubles, and I have been going ever since the cruise ships returned.  I do NOT feel at all leery (except when a pretty girl -- never mind!!).  I go to the downtown area (the Cathedral and the Market) by foot or golf cart, I go to the Golden Zone, and I take the ferry to Stone Island -- and never a problem.

Thanks for the feedback!! I feel the same about Cabo, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta I have never felt unsafe but then again I am not wondering the streets late at night usually in a resort! Ok then if o don’t have to worry about it a taxi it is! You wouldn’t remember about how much a taxi was to gold zone would you? Just wanted to compare it to when I get a quote on the private transport we have 8 in our group so thought it would be nice to stick together if it’s not too much more 😀

Good question. We just booked the same cruise about 10 minutes ago. And yes there are not many cabins left.

We booked in March of 2018 🤣🤣I always want a specific room just booked for New Years 2021 on the Mardi Gras wanted the corner excel suite it has its own jacuzzi!! We do an every other New Years Cruise with friends because it is so much fun to be on a boat on New Years 🎉🍾🥂they price match if the price goes down so why not book early 😀

  15. We are going on the new Carnival Panorama this New Year's and need some help.  I have been to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta many times, but am a little leery about Mazatlan since even the cruise ships stopped going a few years back. I think all we want to do is go to a specific restaurant in the Gold Zone and probably just walk around there. I was wondering about transport there from the Cruise dock. I know its about 6 miles away so too far to walk. Should we prebook transport or is there enough taxi's when you get off. This new Carnival boat has over 4,000 passengers and with it being a new years cruise I am sure it will be full so not sure if we will be fine or if I should prebook a transfer. Has anyone went recently, I know not on the Panorama since it doesn't even sail until mid-December but maybe at port with other ships at the same time?? Thanks for your help!!

  16. Love the Aft Junior Suite friends had it on the Alaskan Cruise last June 2018 and have it again on our British Isle Cruise in June 2020 we got 1602 since their balcony is bigger it wraps to the side we had 1098 on the Alaskan which was to the side of them had a larger balcony for a JS on the side since half was covered and half was open it is said to be an obstructed view but it was fine. I love the back of the boat and figured we would save the $$ since the Suite is so much more $$ I thought $9,500 was enough for a 10 day but we will be in Europe!!! Did anyone end up picking the 1602??  Would like the details!!

  17. If it's a bad bearing, it's been going on for several years!! Spirit is our favorite ship, however, we will never stay in the stern again!!! In moderate seas, or when changing speeds for port or docking the vibration was so bad it knocked things of the counters and would wake us up. No problem in the rest of the ship, but the constant thrumming of the propellers and vibrations made it pretty bad on many occasions. We were on deck 9.

We have stayed aft before and never an issue but never on this boat....well we are booked for June I will let you know if we experience it in the meditteranean 😃😃
