We love La Palma and rent from CICAR when we are in the Canaries.  A favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz on La Palma is Bar Restaurante Parrilla Las Nieves Barrio Nieves, 2, 38700 Las Nieves, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.  It is very slow driving on the island due to the winding roads so a short distance can take a lot longer than expected.  The Caldera is great as are the telescopes.  The silk museum, Museo de la Seda Las Hilanderas, in El Paso is interesting

We are doing this in October and Celebrity had us fill out a form because we were getting off in Haifa and not returning til the boat was in Ashdod. We are taking the train to Jerusalem. There is a station in Haifa right by the cruise terminal. The fare is 18USD return per person and no traffic though there is a change of train in Tel-Aviv.

We are visiting Limassol Cyprus and thinking of going to Nicosia by service taxi and we are wondering if anyone has done that and has information they could share about their experience. Thanks
