I'm a MDR type of person. I enjoy meeting and chatting with the waiters and yes the singing and dancing is corny but so am I.:p
-
It's still worth it!!

 Unbelievable:eek:
Some people have no boundaries!

I cast my vote for an adults only pool are on cruise ships. :D

Enjoying your review... Thanks for posting! :)

Yes good choice. You'll enjoy having your room ready once you board and using the shorter line at guest services. :)

Really enjoying your review and pics... Your girls are adorable.... :)

I've done the current chef's table twice and I loved it. However, I can't see paying again for the same menu. I had heard the current menu was going to change back in Oct. then Jan of this year. I was so excited to try a new menu and I have cruised 3 times since March of this year but was so disappointed to learn that it was the same menu. :(
I agree with the poster regarding the steakhouse it is excellent but there you have choices.

My friends call me pinky, so it's the splendor for me... :p

I agree with the others that the "no single supplement" is impossible to predict but I have noticed that they put them out 3-4 months before a sailing. My guess would be that they may not have many during peak sailing dates... Keep checking though

Thanks for your charming comparison OP! I haven't sailed Celebrity since 1998, must try her out again.

From what I hear there is... They have the pool and the flowrider for kids there... Hope this helps..

I've always found a variety of tasty food to eat on Carnival. Mongolian, Tandoor, Rotisserie, Guys, Blue Iguana, Pizza. I tend to stay away from the buffet and take dinner in the MDR and I just love the sea day brunches.
I can skip breakfast and am planning on taking my nutribullet aboard with me for my breakfast meal....
I'm happy.....

The free bottle is per table or reservation. I met someone here on CC and we decided to have dinner in the steakhouse on the first night of our cruise. We booked separately but were told we could only get one bottle of wine.

I agree with the others. There's no kids menu and it is a 2 hour plus meal..

For me I love the value of a Carnival Cruise. It's not just about the price, the food options are good, ports of call are good, comedy club is good, cabins are comfy and roomy, entertainment can be spotty.
Since I travel solo alot, it is not worth it to book expensive suites. When traveling with my family or friends, it's a different story.
Trying to segregate pax's by how much they've paid goes totally against the vision on which Carnival was founded. Carnival cruise lines was created for the masses so that they would get the opportunity to enjoy cruising. Which, up until that time was reserved for the wealthy.

They will run it through the scanner for sure...

I just knew this thread would be so entertaining.... :p

Yes $20 for an additional entree! I had the chilean sea bass and it was delicious but I could've had another entree...
-
Yes, I understand your urgency but the "Now is the time" sale is not early saver so I don't see how you would get those price drops... Call Carnival again and press the matter with them to see if they could help or at least bring clarity to the situation..

Been on the Splendor twice now and she doesn't have much of a serenity area to speak of. The aft lido pool and hot tubs are adults only and I've seen that enforced.
Splendor does not have the 2.0 upgrades but still good food choices such as
Tandoor (indian), The Rotisserie & the Mongolian Wok. The burgers on the splendor are hockey pucs and don't compare to guys. The pizza is amazing and food in the mdr is good. She does have the taste & Martini bar.
Hope this helps.... :)

For the longest time, I coveted a SOAS and on my last cruise I won 3. It was too much and I gave 2 away. One per ship is plenty fine for me....
-
Usually it's just me and one bag so I give $5 and a smile..:p

Thanks for you review.. I'm spending 16 days on the splendor starting this coming Saturday 4/26. Your review is just getting me that much more excited. :)
