We will be staying in Brugge for 2 nights post cruise and looking for hotel reccomendations. Mid priced is fine. We don't like to go too low or need the highest end hotel . Looking for convenient location for sightseeing.

I will be doing one night post cruise in Rome with a relatively early flight out the next morning. Any recommendations? I am trying to decide if we get a hotel near the airport and drop our bags there after the cruise and then head into Rome for the day.

What thermal baths do they go to with ship excursion? It seems pricey at $89. Can we take a taxi from ship to Szechenyi baths? Any info on other excursions on this trip appreciated!
This is a great question. I would like to try and do this on my own as well. Glad you posted it.

I looked into this and found out that being from the US I would need an international drivers license.

We are thinking about renting ATVs in Santorini. Does anyone have experience with this and a recommendation? I am trying to figure out if I need an international drivers license. Thanks.

I am looking for a resource so we can do a self-guided tour of the city walls. I am hoping for something that would include some history and a few key places to stop along the walls.

We are interested in visiting Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club in Mykonos - well maybe. Has anyone visited this Beach Club? It is located at Kalo Livadi Beach,. Any tips on how to best get there? Any tips on a cheaper and more Greek authentic beach club to hang out at for the day? A few in our group want to go to the Lohan Beach Club. I am not sold on that idea quite yet.

I see that RCCL has a hiking/walking tour in Corfu. I am wondering if I could do this as a DIY. Has anyone done this?

I am thinking about staying at Hotel Al Duca. How did you transfer from the airport to the hotel and hotel to port? Was it pretty easy? Did you have to carry your luggage very far?

I have been doing research and found a lot of information on these boards (and links to visitor sights within various posts) for a pre-cruise hotel in Venice. We are staying 2 nights. I have also looked at trip advisor reviews.
What I am still trying to figure out is whether the Piazzale Roma area will be a nice area to stay for 2 nights. The idea of not shlepping luggage too far is appealing for selecting this area. Sometimes hotels near a main bus area can be questionable (or the area can be a bit seedy). Given that Piazzale Roma seems to be a transportation center, I am wondering about the area. I am hoping that someone has stayed at one of the Piazzale Roma hotels and can provide their view. Ideally, I would like a moderately priced hotel (flexible here) with a reasonably comfortable bed that will be somewhat convenient for the cruise port.

Thanks for the information. I have checked the Marriott website and am hoping to get a recommendation from someone that has stayed at one of the resorts.

I am looking for a hotel option in Ft Lauderdale or nearby that is on the Beach. We would like to be able to hang out at the Beach the Friday before our Feb. 16th cruise departing from Pt. Everglades. I am looking at Mariott or Starwood affiliated hotels so I can use my points. My main priority is the beach. I can always Uber to a restaurant for dinner and a liquor store, but having those within walking distance would be nice. I have checked the Marriott website, but I have no idea of the surrounding areas and what might be nearby. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I guess so. I just wanted to confirm it is in the daily price advertised on line. Glad to hear it is

Hmm. Mine came through with $0 as the service fee. Hope I don't get an extra charge when I get on board.

i am looking at getting the deluxe beverage package and trying to purchase it online. Is shows $53.10 per day. How do gratuities work? My bill shows a service charge of zero.
The RCCL site says “for mot sailings, beverage package gratuities of 18% are at at final checkout and not included in the initial cost.”

Thanks for posting the link to the tip break down. Is there a further breakdown among the dining room staff?
-
Does anyone know how the prepaid gratuities get distributed to the various employees? Back in the day there was a published suggested tip amount by position.

We recently returned from a May 3 night cruise on Enchantment. I was very disappointed with the food. The waiters and service was great in MDR and Windjammer. The food was not very good at all. I didn’t like the simplified menu and the deserts were pretty bland.

Our last cruise the room steward said we would have to call room service each day for new glasses. She was the worst in many ways. We even gave her extra cash up front. Was the craziest thing. Our friends down the hall had no problem getting daily wine glasses. We just got our own and laughed it off.

That is good to know. Does anyone know where the drop off point is?
-
I asked in the Italy forum and folks suggested I post here so I could learn about what sort of bus that RCCL offers.
-
i am wondering if there is a bus at the port of Salerno that takes you from the ship. I heard that you cannot just walk from the ship. Does anyone know there the shuttle bus drops you off?

Thanks. This is very helpful.
