  1. Thanks, I also think it is just the cabin number.

I have myself, my 80 year old parents and 8 other elderly couples arriving from different parts of the U.S. for the 11/29 sailing. So, I am sending out a cabin list, deck number & location so they can find/call each other.

    Thanks again,

    Chris

    Hey Chris!

I don't know if you've been lurking, but we have a pretty active roll call happening. You and your family are more than welcome to join in the fun!

  2. I was able to upgrade our A1 to a suite gty and then to a Signature Suite all after final payment. I didn't have any perks to lose and I figure this is the only time prices will be cheap enough for me to get that high of a category. My TA handled all of it. These were Tuesday Special prices, too.

She even honored the pricing for the Signature Suite since it had changed by the time she was able to change the booking and she took the hit. :D

My sister has also upgraded after final payment using the Tuesday special pricing and has had no issues, and she goes through Celebrity directly. As long as the cabin is more expensive, my understanding is you can upgrade any time (outside of a group booking). But I've never done it until now.

  3. Doing the Nuptials at Sea package.

The captain will be performing the legal ceremony at sea.

Any past Celebrity couples in here, used their own wedding vows?

We used our own vows - well, we were supposed to, but the captain forgot and skipped them - but officially it's allowed. You just have to send them in beforehand for approval.

What ship are you getting married on? Not very many other Celebrity weddings on here. :)

  4. A word of caution, at least about what happened to my sand ceremony - we did two colors, blue and green, and by the time we got the frame home the colors were all mixed together. They didn't stay separate layers. So either have a plan for getting the frame home upright or expect for the sand to get all mixed together. Not to discourage you, just a word of advice. :)

  5. We're getting symbolically married on the summit this weekend (eeeek!) and we chose to do the ship board ceremony by the captain. We wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any issues getting to a port. Our ceremony will be on the sea day in Qsine (there's only 9 of us) at 3. We chose to get married legally before the cruise because the marriage license through celebrity was an extra $700 and would be from Malta. That's cool in theory, but we thought it wouldn't be practical.

The ship chooses your time and location for your ceremony depending on the captain's schedule and doesn't notify you until two weeks before the sailing (or 4 days in our case). The planning is done through a third party company, The Wedding Experience and their customer service can be hit or miss.

If you reach out to them, they'll send you a brochure with all the package options for each port and the Nautical Nuptials at sea package.

Just remember that you don't have a ton of control or options for a ship board wedding so you have to be okay with going with the flow, for the most part.

I'm happy to answer any other questions you might have if I can!

  6. When we were there a few years ago, we did a tour with Stefano's Rome Tours. The website doesn't list it as a pickup spot, but I think we requested it and they were able to accommodate. We hadn't been to the Amalfi coast previously, so I don't know how beneficial it is if you've been there before. Here's the link: http://www.stefanorometours.com/tours/pompeii-sorrento-amalfi-coast/
