  1. I figured someone would say that. I've sailed with Carnival 2 times in since 2010 and have yet to see anything close to a fight.

13 cruises - 9 with carnival - Not one fight. 1 NCL Breakaway - 3 fights. Upcoming on Escape - hopefully none, but we will see. Don't listen to Carnival haters - they all have nonsense on them, doesn't matter what line.

I was skeptical booking NCL out of NYC again as the first cruise (Breakaway) was one of the best ones, but at least 3 fights witnessed and altercations (one guy got a beer bottle smashed over his head). It certainly didnt ruin my trip and I am smart enough to leave the area immediately - but I was hoping because Bermuda cruise was pretty expensive my odds were good...lol Fingers crossed!!

  2. I saw this happening too. It was awful. You don't know the circumstances..but me personally, I would NEVER leave my kids on the ship. Anything can happen..accident, etc.

(I think my kids would have been happy with no curfew though!!)

I am curious (or just admitting I am nosey) to find out what exactly happened. I only heard one story - 2 kids put in captains quarters. ages 9 & 11...but who knows the truth.

There were several pages as well and the ship did not sail away until after 6:10.

  3. Hi all,

I am a first timer on NCL this Sunday!! :) Question for the first night dinner. Reservations in Manhattan very early 5:30 (large group). Wondering how dressy (or casual) is acceptable. Smart casual ok? Deciding if I am packing 4 of us in a carry on to change incase luggage hasn't been delivered. Anyone w experience think luggage will be delivered by...430??

    TIA!!

    Chris

  4. Thank you for the awesome pictures!! I think we are going to go here next Friday :)

I don't see that Carnival offers it as an excursion. Do you know if you can purchase the day of?

    Chris

  5. I decided not to get my children passports and use Birth certificates only. Has anyone had an issue boarding a carnival ship without a passport? Anyone boarded with ONLY birth certificates only in the last few weeks?

I know its recommended, etc... and it states on the website Bc's are acceptable.

    They are 13 & 11. I have a passport.
