Loved this! Interesting observations. My last cruise was solo and I agree that it is much easier to truly freestyle it when you're alone, but I can't imagine the frustration of trying to get seats for a group without advance planning.
I have to ask... are you an engineer? :D

Check out the Econo Lodge on Merritt Island. It's inexpensive, quiet, has free parking where they watch your car from the office, and a shuttle to the port. The property is older but clean, has a nice pool, and the service was great too. I stayed in November and was very happy.

Following. I was on this cruise also. Perfect weather. And me and my boyfriend both got the plague on the way home. Still coughing.
My gosh, y'all. I was on the Epic over Thanksgiving, and was one of many on the ship who caught the upper respiratory crud onboard that week. It took me 5 weeks to lose the cough. I can't help wondering if that same virus is still circulating through the ship's air. :( I feel for you and hope everyone feels better soon!

I was there in November. There is also an area with loungers and umbrellas, but it is pricey IMHO. I want to say it was $60 to rent? I walked about 50 yards away to a large group of loungers underneath a grove of trees. I am happy to report that NCL doesn't charge you for using trees, so I got my shaded lounger for free. Highly recommend!

I just saw on Grand Cayman's port schedule that the Epic is listed for Wednesday 11/22.

What about the ships that only have one showtime? I will be on the Sun in a few weeks. Does anyone know what time the nightly performance begins? Not sure what time to book dinner!
