I am trying to book an excursion (Goff's Caye) through Belize Cruise Excursions. I did their on-line inquiry a week or so ago and haven't heard back. I've checked both my regular and junk/spam folders and I've gotten no response. I don't see anywhere to book on-line. My cruise is in a month and I'm getting nervous getting this close and not having something booked.
I've read good things about belizecruiseexcursions.com. Have you used them? Did you book on-line? Is there a phone number to call? Do they normally take awhile to respond?
Sorry, don't mean to barage you with questions. I just want to know your experience.
TIA,
~Amy

That makes sense. Thanks!

Since "texting" between 2 iPhones is really messaging, can 2 people on a cruise do that without cost and with their iPhones in airplane mode?

Anyone know if they do anything special for July 4th on the Magic?

I've been reading how you can book a room at comfort suites in Nausau and have full access to Atlantis and, for the day we will be there, it will be much cheaper than buying the pass through Carnival. I need some details though from someone who has done it.
Do you go to the hotel that morning and check in then go back later in the day and check out? Obviously, I won't be there the following day to check out? Any other information/tips on how this works is appreciated.

For flip flops, I wear Yellow Box. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, a very painful foot condition. My PF never acts up when I'm wearing those.
I also recommend Born brand sandals. They are pricy though bit check out their "lower end" brand, B.O.C. (Born On Concept). They are a bit cheaper and just as super comfy.

I have heard that, while they are hustling everyone down, there are places for people to go who have disabilities or who might have issues with standing in place or other issues with the "traditional" muster. All you have to do is ask one of them where to go and they will point you in the correct direction. From what I understand, where you go isn't always the same from ship to ship and even within the same ship but different cruises.

What a very nice looking family you 3 are! I look forward to reading your review.

Maybe your pet is trying to prevent you from packing so that you stay home?? ;)
Being that it is a cat, I'd say you're spot on! :D

I wear a lanyard on ship, but not in ports. I got one of those sparkly rhinestone lanyards you mention and I love it. Mine is the multi-colored sparkly rhinestone.

Being your first cruise, you will likely overpack. You really don't need much clothing or all the extras you read about people taking. The best thing to do is pack what you think you might need after the suggestions you got/get here and that you see in other threads. After you take your first cruise, you'll have a much better idea of what YOU need.
Enjoy your first cruise!

Another vote here for you to wear it and wear it proudly!

Bloody Marys because they are good for you. :D
Exactly! They were quite good and I drank plenty of them! Looking forward,to more of them this December.

There's only one thing I hate......getting off the ship at the end of the cruise! I'm pretty laid back and don't let little stuff bother me, but getting off the ship sure is depressing!

Both are pretty, but I too prefer the 2nd one.

Thanks for doing this. I love these posts!

So far, great! I can't wait to see more.

Personally I have found it takes a long time to dry anything in the room. I think your better off bringing two suits per person. One drying for two days and one you can wear.
A power strip. Now that's a can't do without item.
After reading so much here, I do plan to bring 2 to 3 bathing suits. I already have the power strip on my list. That and way too many other things. The good thing is I'm going on a cruise with a group of friends and my roomie, who has never cruised before either, is going on the same cruise, same ship later this month with her hubby. She should be able to help me narrow down my list to the must haves.

And whatever you do, don't try to dry your clothes on a balcony if you have one while underway. The wind will blow them away. Even towels drapped over the chairs tend to get blown off.
Thanks as I probably would have done this and regretted it!

If you plan on drying several items we have found taking along an "octopus" ($5 at Ikea) allows for up to 8 at a time.
I don't think I'll need that many hooks, but I love this! Some people are so creative.

Oops! I have typing dyslexia. Obviously, I meant 2013! :)
I've read over and over to pack then take a bunch of it back out of your suitcase. Since I have so much time before my cruise, I plan to start adding some funds to my S&S card as well as socking away some cash.

Thanks y'all. I'm a habitual over packer and am going to try not to for this cruise. :D

Hi all. I'm a cruise virgin with my first cruise scheduled June 17, 2103 on the Triumph. I am so glad I found y'all. I've learned so much already!
Anyway, I'm taking notes, making lists and bookmarking stuff and came across a question I haven't seen the answer to. I know I should take clips to hang bathing suits, but do I need clothesline too or is it already on the cabins?
Thanks again for all the information everyone provides. It is invaluable to cruise virgins like me!

This was copied and pasted from someone else's post in 2012. I have no doubt it it probably true but the person who posted it here obvoiusly got it from somewhere else. See: someoneelse who posted on cruise line dot com in 2012. Same post...word for word. Therefore, I doubt he/she will be back to answer how they know this information.
